I guess, but we will see what happens with Luis and Kyle and the Lux tax.

I really do believe a sign and trade is coming if he has not signed a sheet yet. That possibility is very huge.

I'm not really worried about Lowry leaving. I'm more worried about Brook's asking price when his contract is up. If Lowry is worth 6 mill then Brook's might be looking for 9 to 10 mill per.

Morey would not spend 6M on backup center. I doubt he will spend 6M on backup PG.

But Brooks hasn't even reached his ceiling yet... I'm hoping we're forced to sign him to the max! ;)

The Cavs signing Lowry is a sign that other teams think highly of Lowry. The offer isn't ridiculous money. And down the road maybe another team really needs a PG. Then we can name our price in a trade (either for Lowry or AB). Why lose an asset over what seems to be slightly above market value money of Lowry's skillset?

Nah, I will just wait to see if Morey matches, then we can cross that bridge if we have to..

And then he looks at our record when Lowry was injured...

Sounds good to me, but the poster above that said the Rox would not sign a backup center to the MLE, makes you wonder.....

Look, at the end of the day, Morey said he would sign him....and I don't think Morey has lied, so I expect the Rox to match the deal.

I told you he would get more than $5 million.

That's his fair market value. Morey usually signs players for less than their FMV. He better match it.

If only someone had previously written an article talking about this very subject and how Les Alexander intended to pay a potentially stiff luxury tax bill after re-signing Scola and Lowry.

A great article, and there is another angle to it as well, that I have been sitting on for quite a while.....wanted to see if it comes to fruition......

    This is very exciting stuff.

Not at all, I said "I" would not match it......but I think DM will....

Are you assuming Morey will not bring in another PG with the MLE/trade if Lowry leaves?

Lowry's a good player. But he's not a irreplaceable player.

well. 3m per for Landry was clearly underpaid. any GM would match it right away.
