If Howard sign's with Houston, I would trade Asik, Brooks, and Delfino for the 1st pick.. We would have that pick and Cap to Sign a Millsap, and draft a 6th man and project with the 1st, Sign Mike Dunleavy and Kyle Kover, Release Royce White Howard/Noel/Monte Millsap/Robinson/Jones Parsons/Dunleavy Harden/Kover Lin/Beverly
And if they did somehow end up getting Wiggins, they will be the one of the best team in the league in a few years. If Irving is a little rattled up with injuries, they will for sure have a chance at #1 pick again. Irving Waiters Wiggins Thompson Noel If not Wiggins, they may still be able to get Jabari Parker.
Well then you'd be pretty stupid if you do. Go back to Parson's draft class, how many of those guys in the top 10 would you trade for Parsons and Asik? And this draft class is even weaker than that class, the consensus top pick Noels would probably slide all the way to 5 and below in that class.
i know it would be an ******* move to do, lol, but is there a time limit by which they have to sign him or could they just not sign him until next year?
if he doesn't sign with some other pro basketball team, they'd only keep his rights until the next draft. He could then enter that draft and get drafted again.
Asik and Parsons are not going to get you top8 pick. We tried to trade the following assets for #2 pick last year: Houston: 2, Tyrus Thomas (contract unload), Matt Carroll for 12, 16, 18, Chandler Parsons, Kyle Lowry Houston: 2, Tyrus Thomas for 8, 12, 16, Parsons http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=227117 And we got turned down...just how crazy the draft picks are valued around the league on draft night.
That was last year... Asik and D-Mo and or T-Rob could probably land Portland's or Philly's draft pick...
You do realize if that #1 pick ends up being a bust (a really high possibility) we just effectively butchered our roster and killed any chance of being a contender for YEARS.
Parsons wasn't highly valued last year. Right now Parsons may be the hottest trade piece in the league.
The number one is a really enticing piece if you're packaging together a trade for a superstar. I think Portland seriously considers moving Aldridge this summer.....where are they going with the current construction of their team? With Aldridige, Matthews, Batum & Lillard and a horrific bench, they only won 33 games this year. Portland could trade Aldridge straight up for #1 pick, another future 1st rounder pick, Thompson & maybe even Varejo (plus even cap space which they need). I don't think Blazers get a better offer than that.
He's good but so was Lowry last year who played at allstar level most of the season and with 2 more years on cheap contract. If Lowry worths 12 th pick, Parsons probably will be valued similarly.
Trade for #1 pick in 2013 draft? Cavs will listen to offers for number 1 pick. Would we want and what would it take? Links: http://m.espn.go.com/nba/story?storyId=9300487&src=desktop http://www.cbssports.com/nba/blog/e...-might-be-open-to-trading-the-number-one-pick Lock if posted already
