Cross him off the potential pick up list. Glad Sideshow Bob will not be on the Rockets.

I wish I knew. He's so terrible, has no offensive game at all, is uncoordinated, not an exceptional rebounder or shot blocker...

I don't understand their fascination with him at all.

I still don't understand what this guy does better than Chuck Hayes(besides flopping). Neither has any offensive games. They both play very good defense(one aided by flopping). And both can't shoot to save their lives.

Yet the Rockets pays Hayes $2 mil and Sideshow Bob keeps asking for more than MLE money.

As expected. The Cavs have failed to land a free agent so they have no choice but to take care of theirs. Varejao needs LBJ to flourished so its a match made in heaven. :D

All he did was flop and cut to the basket. Crossing his name off the list that didn't have it to begin with.

Definitely size. Although Sideshow is not as good defender as the Chuckwagon, he still is pretty good at moving his feet. He defends the pick and roll decently and also can rebound the ball. His offense is non-existent.

Regardless, Andy is 6'10 while Chuck is 6'6. If chuck had those four extra inches, with the type of defense he has now (plus even throwing down a few) he'd probably be making 6-9M a year. Goes to show you how valuable those extra inches can be. ;)

if chuck had those extra inches, he would have a better offensive game than varejao (he'd be dunking all the time instead of lay ups). still, i dont think you'd give a 6'9" chuck 6m/yr. 3-4m is more likely.

Yeah. But the extra inches doesn't make him contribute more. Hayes' strength makes up a lot of his height deficiencies.

I guess in the end, NBA GMs still care about ideal heights more than overall ability. Glad to know Morey isn't one of them.

If the Rockets interest in him was real, that would make me question Morey as far as being smarter than most GMs. As you said, he is no better than Chuck Hayes yet costs thrice as much.

I really hope Cleveland signs him. It would be REALLY hard to root for the Rockets if he was on the roster.

unless they trade away Z and use varejao at C to relieve Shaq, this is one of the dumbest moves this offseason
