Bynum, unlike White, has earned $100M in the NBA. Hopefully he turned it over to a competent investment adviser.
We need to trade asik for something way better yeah the pick would be gold but could we flip the pick for something better?
What a jerk. He's forcing his way out and wants to go to the Heat or Clippers.

1 - Expect Bynum to miraculously regain his love for basketball once he gets away from this messy Cavs situation. Are you guys kidding me?!? The man was just suspended for detrimental contact, supposedly doesn't like basketball, and you wanna give them Asik for him and a couple picks. I would look into Waiters to be a good 6th man: he can shoot 3s and he could be flipped for a nice return in a couple years if he is developed up to his talent. Also would save mileage on Harden in the regular season
The Cavs right now are in line for the 9th pick in the 2014 draft. Adding Asik would probably move them down a couple of slots. Morey would probably want more back for Asik.
Exactly. If the Cavs want Asik and want to get rid of Bynum, they should pay dearly for the privilege. Assets and picks. Assets and picks. It would also could help clear some salary cap room for the Rockets next season. In my humble opinion.
No we will get picks in return, if u see Simmons tweets cavs want to get something back, if waived he wants to play for heat or clippers, would rather us get him than them. Basically he just doesn't want to play for mike brown & that bad team wants to be on a contender.
Except Asik is still injured, remember? The Cavs could easily milk his injury for a while and let him fully recover versus rushing him back into the line up. So it doesn't have to hurt their seeding that much...

It feels like the supply of bigs who may "quit on their teams at any moment" is outpacing demand right now.
— Kirk Goldsberry (@kirkgoldsberry) December 28, 2013

Yep he's on a non guarantee next season. Perfect situation would be getting Bynum if waived then trading asik at deadline for wing/pf then we would be set! Problem with waiting until he's waived is the heat or clippers might be able to persuade him more than rockets
If we get Bynum & a 1st round pick, that pick would be worth more than a disgruntled hurt asik right now. At deadline a first round pick could get you deng, asik can't get that
What a waste of talent. Don't like basketball in the first place? Man up and stop being a little b****. You owe it to the city of cleveland and their fans to play your heart out for that ridiculous contract they signed you to. I don't this guy anywhere near the Rockets.
A lot of people thought he might have injury trouble or even retire. But this situation. Probably not.
As 100% unguaranteed money, Bynum's contract is perfect trade bait for clearing cap space. Can't under rate the value of that to the right team like the Rockets. That's even before you're talking about his value to a team that he actually wants to be on. Basically getting Picks + Bynum would mean clearing Asik's entire contract off the salary, and possibly getting a half season of a top rated back up big man that you can later trade as a $12M cap clearing contract for a real impact player, especially if you can find a team to trade with that he actually wants to play on. As trade assets go, Bynum is pretty good to have even if he only wants to mail in the rest of the season. Very high flexibility asset.
