This is what tanking looks like. Unload expensive contracts (Martin expires after this season), accumulate draft picks, and play youngsters. Scola did not deserve to stay through that, and I compliment the front office for letting him go. Get ready for:

    PG Brooks/Machado
    SG Lamb/Stephenson
    SF Parsons/White
    PF Jones/Patterson
    C Montiejunas/Smith

30 wins and garnering game experience, the Rockets will have several good picks next season and cap space for talent.

Ditto. They are both good, but one does not want to be here, the other is often injured.

To be honest, I'd be more excited to watch that team than any in a while. So much promise and we'll have an actual direction. Though I think McHale will start PPat over TJ.

If true, would certainly help the Toronto pick if nothing else.

My sources tell me that Bynum, Gasol, and Howard were going to violate the terms of their contracts in order to to reform the Houston Comets. However, their plans to comprise the softest front court in the WNBA, joined in the back court by Tracy McGrady and Lebron James, were dashed when Lebron won an actual NBA Championship. Back to the drawing board boys.

30 wins isn't tanking, thats the beginning of the mediocrity treadmill, need to get a top 3 pick to have a shot at a franchise player.

the problem with morey playing hardball...once another team hops into the picture, his leverage is reduced to 0.

Worst case scenario, we keep Lamb.

Haha true, it would help the Toronto pick because Cleveland would become a team I feel that becomes a contending team for the 8th spot.

I'll gladly go to war with Lin, Asik, and the current young roster. It may lead to drafting at 14 again, but I will actually have FUN watching the team because of all the fresh blood.

Crazy rumors circulating that #Cavs are embroiled in trade talks with Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers. Cavs would receive center Andrew Bynum from the Lakers. Cavs would possibly send Anderson Varejao, Tristan Thompson and picks to the Magic. Story was first reported by HoopsWorld. This could also mean the Cavs might make a waiver claim on forward/center Luis Scola. Sulia

    Another Dwight goose-chase.

They're running around like mad, trying to find someone to best the Rockets' offer, but it's not going to happen.

After they're done shopping around, they'll come crawling back to us and reluctantly accept.

That is closer to a 10 win team than a 30 win team, and no, there is no way the Rockets would ever take the court with that. Keep dreaming.

I hate to say it, the Cavs look like they have at least as much or more to offer than the Rockets. Thompson, Waiters, Varejao, multiple 1st round picks, and the cap space to eat as many or more bad contracts. If they end up offering both Thompson and Waiters, I could see Orlando taking that over our package.
