The only reason I let my wife keep our damn cat is on the condition that when it pisses me off or starts f'ing with my 12 year old Beagle with bad hips, it goes outside. Seriously this cat has to be the spawn of Satan, I wish I would just let it out the back door one day and it never came back. Anyone want a cat, I will be willing to meet you at a designated time at my back porch and when I let it out you can just proceed to take it home.
You know, I honestly don't care if you deliberately choose to misspell words or not. At least you now know how it's actually spelled. Out curiosity, is there something wrong with correctly spelling words?
You don't have to use a paper version Merriam-Webster if you don't like it... there are plenty of other sources: merriam-webster.com the Oxford dictionary (both in print and online) the Cambridge dictionary (both in print and online) dictionary.com google.com/dictionary the scrabble dictionary (both in print and online) Just to name a few. You've got plenty of choices.
Oh come on, I would not kill any animal.....but I am the guy that is annoyed that his neighbors let their cats run around and crap in my yard. What did the guy in Anderson Mill do? Cans of tuna with antifreeze in them? Shotgun? What? DD
Frankly, I have more of a problem with outside dogs than I do with cats. Even the dogs that are only in their backyards. None of the things T-man listed about cats bother me NEARLY as much as a dog barking non-stop while I'm trying to fall asleep. This happens with the 1 neighborhood dog a lot more often than any of the 10 neighborhood cats getting in my car, tracking mud on my porch, or spraying me.
You base this on a survey you took of cats, or just your own opinions? What does a "cat's life" consist of? Maybe people should let their dogs out to roam as well, since that's natural for them? And gerbils, hamsters, etc. They should be let out of their cages so that they can be free at last? People should take their fish and return them to a lake or a pond where they'll be free? Let their birds out of cages and let them fly into the wild? Or is this just a cat standard?
I have known too many friends who's cats were run over by cars. Mine will NEVER be allowed outside. If they don't know what they're missing, it's not depriving them of the outside. If you live in a rural area, it would be slightly more acceptable to me. It's a dangerous world for outside cats.
Again thanks meggoleggo!! I can use those extra sources. I have no idea how I could have ever made it on a message board without you and Nero there for me. Seriously, you 2 jokers have nothing to add to the conversation other than spell check policing? Thanks for your valuable input to the thread. I wel tri tu doe betr n th futr four yu.
From the most trusted name in news: Geocities Cats Mutilated in Austin, Texas DALLAS (August 14, 2001) -The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for mutilating and killing at least 10 cats, but possibly more, in the Austin, Texas area from March through July. Neighbors in the Anderson Mill Estates community, where some of the cats have been abducted, have pooled about $4,000 for the reward fund as well. The cats apparently all suffered similar trauma, having been found cut in half or dismembered in pieces. At least one of the cats was missing organs. In at least five of the cases, one part of the cat's body had been returned to the owner's property soon after the killing. In all of the cases, the cats had been let outdoors for a relatively short period of time before they turned up dead. A veterinarian who examined one of the cat corpses said he believes the killing had been done "deliberately and traumatically, most probably with a moderately sharp knife or perhaps a serrated knife."
This had me absolutely rolling, some of these guys on this site act Butt Hurt over the most silly things.
Allergies? What if your family suffers from allergies and the cats are getting in your yard and on your lawn furniture, spraying, leaving hair and dander and it is making a mess, and uncomfortable for the family? Isn't that an issue? To me it is irresponsible pet ownership if you let your cat outside.....Cat's should be confined to your own property, and nothing else.....they are the owners responsibility and if they infringe on others property they become a nuisance. DD
That is really sick.......but IMO, none of those cats would be dead if they had more responsible pet owners. DD
