Look, just because Cuttino has chosen to add his name to the long list of prestigous players whose conscience allows them to justify the fact that they work for a known oppressor who underpays people mired in an cycle of abject poverty to work non-sensical hours in less than ideal conditions does not make him a bad guy. Here is why:

    1. Those people are lucky they have jobs at all.

    2. You should be thanking Nike. Can you imagine how expensive the shoes would be if real people made them?

    3. Nike just catches flak because they oppress more people than smaller companies. It is not their fault that they are bigger than the other guys and make more money.

    4. Finally, just because you wear a shoe with a swoosh doesn't mean that you are endorsing that company's actions. That's just stupid logic. That's like saying that if you wear a bandana with a swastika it means you agree with Nazis, when in fact you might be wearing it just because you think it looks cool and holds hair better than other bandanas.

I've tried not to pay too much attention to this thread, but this is a ridiculous argument. You don't have to be apart of it. Just because you have a middle man do all of your horrible work for you, doesn't make your hands clean.

I heard somewhere that it costs between .20 and .50 cents to make a single nike. They cost $125+. I think somewhere in there you can factor in a living wage for human beings.
