Ouch Manny, I was about to re-offer to you of MAshburn and Magliore/or a 1st rd pick for Payton. It was also discussed that a certain Norwegian would have considered offering "The Answer" for Payton. You do also realize his salary still counts against your Cap for the legnth of his contract. CK
What does being in his last year have to do with his salary counting? It still counts on the cap for this season...
Okay, here's the deal: I have never liked Gary Payton and never will. I had talked to mduke about trading Payton for Van Exel straight up. He told me that he had to include McCloud for salary cap purposes. I agreed to the deal because of my dislike for Payton and my desire for Van Exel. I did not want anyone else and thus the reason for releasing McCloud. He was not released to dump salary; he was released because he didn't fit into my team's plans (although on second thought, he is probably better than a lot of the back-ups I have). If releasing him causes a problem, then someone, i.e. Cat, tell me and I will pick him back up.
I am looking for a PG, i have Larry Hughes Possibly to trade, or Mark Jackson also picks i want a young, athletic PG
Manny, You can release McCloud, but I really don't see the point behind it. He's not that expensive, and he'll count against your cap either way. You can release him if you want, but I think you'd be a little bit better off keeping him. Whatever you want to do is fine with me though. Also, I have Walt Williams and Kelvin Cato on the block... looking for a physical big man who can block some shots-- an Ervin Johnson type really. Let me know if anyone is interested...
I have Shawn Marion available if anyone is interested. I'd like to get a stud frontcourt player in return for him.
Cat, how bout Scott Williams for Walt Williams? You need a C, and I need a shooter, so it works out for both of us.
PG/SG David Wesley, SF/PF Cliff Robinson and PF/C Ben Wallace are all available. Possibly individually or in a package deal. Cliff Robinson - 39 mins - 20.6 pts, 3.8 rebs David Wesley - 37 mins - 21.3 pts, 3.8 assts, 1.7 rebs Don't have stats for Ben yet, but he's a rebounding and shot-blocking monster. Looking for decent young players who won't help my team much right now, and/or good draft picks.
Available for the Raptors: N'Daiye-- Min 3 M.Bradley-- Min 4 Montross--58k 4 T.Murray-- 80k 2 M.Stewart-- 90k 4 Skinner-- 35k 1 For a good SF, I could package any of these guys with either Mo Pete or J.Williams... Peterson-- Min 3 J.Williams-- 100k 7
Antonio McDyess is available so far, he is averaging 22 ppg, 12-13 rpg, 1 blk 275 k /3 years I would want a PF or SF in return, along with draft picks.(there doesnt have to be draft picks) Also, I MAY be willing to trade Gary Payton- 292k/ 2 years 25 ppg, 8 ast. 4 rpg, 1.6 stls. I would need a top-notch pg in return(francis, kidd) or KG
mduke... I am very interested in Mcdyess, and slightly Payton. See my above post for some of the players I have available...but for Mcdyess, I could include Antonio Davis in a deal. Not sure what I would give for Payton.
Nomar- I am interested in Dickerson. Would you do maybe Voshon Lenard for Dickerson? DHR- I dont think any of the above players are good enough to trade McDyess. He is averaging a double double right now. If i traded him to you, it would have to involve Carter. Maybe McDyess,Johnson for Carter? I am not sure how this works salary-wise, but I do not want Davis in return for McDyess.
Tyson Chandler is available, as is Marcus Fizer and perhaps Jamal Crawford. Firesale on the youth. Cat, can you please add Trenton Hassell to my roster? He's an active member of the real-life Bulls.
