Nothing worse that the smell of pee cooking. Hey, they will keep doing it, because they are competing for the territory by marking over each other.

There is a spray to prevent this. You should go to a pet store and ask. Also, if you don't want to spend any money, rumor has it you can mark your own territory by peeing on it, and cats will not challenge human piss. Go pee on your BBQ grill right now.

Should he go overkill and eat a bundle of asparagus first?

i'm a dog person but the Main Coon Cat would be a perfect companion to my 180lb Dogue de Bordeaux.

My buddy's cat used to piss on the windshield of his truck all the time. When we were in HS we'd be in there smoggin' it out and the cat would hop right up there and spray it down, freaking hilarious. My boy would get so pissed.

For me, it's an American short hair - Tabby, preferably.

They have the best mix of playfulness and affection, plus they're amongst the healthiest.

Orange tabbies are by far the friendliest breed of cat, and are hence my favorite.

Cats can definitely be harder to love than dogs, but when you have a compliant cat, it's really easy to have fun. The best cat is the kind where you can just pick up and put on your lap to pet, and it just goes with it.

A friend of mine has two siamese cats that are just like that. You can nudge them with your feet, push 'em around, and chase them around the house, and if you catch it it will stick around as though you didn't just kick it (not hard, obviously). They shed a lot though. It makes me happy they're at his house and not mine.

I failed to mention that my other cat is, for a better term, called a "domestic longhair" which I guess is the cat version of a mutt.

One breed I like a lot besides the Maine Coon is the Norwegian Forest Cat. Surprised that I haven't seen anybody mention that breed.

That's not true, there are many breeds of Cats. The difference is most cats people see are mixed or similar to mutts(Domestic shorthair and longhair), but most people don't mind at all owning these cats.

Siamese. I have a mix breed I think it's tabby mixed with a Siamese. Beautiful blue eyes, very vocal and smart.

So it seems our own Rockets GM has an affinity for cats, especially the wild type...

LOL, I was actually referencing a very contentious cat thread from a while back. Someone (maybe DD?) mentioned stray cats pissing on his grill and I thought it was funny because a) I have a grill and there are several cats in my neighborhood and none of them have ever pissed on it and b) couldn't you just....oh, I don't know.....maybe put the lid down when you're not using it?

I'm pretty sure it wasn't DD that said that (although he did comment that he does not care for cats, IIRC) but you are thinking about droxford.
