man Cato was a madman last night, did you guys see the sequence where he just let one of the guards come in the lane and then just swatted it back...Yao Ming has plenty of oppurtunities to do the same but looks lost sometimes...if he can pick up on this, we could be leading the L in blocks. Keep up the good play Cato!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Your right man, since that first game, almost everyone was nagative, I had purposed in my mind, if I didnt find a positive thread I wasnt coming back, you have to hear neg. EVERYwhere you go, sports is our only refuge from real life, why make that stressful too? I say THANK YOU Cato, your play has been .....dare I say it, ALL-STAR over the past 2 games, just keep up the good work, As long as you are trying the CC.net boys will rout for you!!!
Cato deserves all the props he can get after the last two games. He is playing outside of his past. Eight blocks between him and Eddie last night was a great stat. KT's interview was pretty revealing also. i am not sure I have seen him that personable or excited about playing for the Rox. I got the hint the other day that he wasn't to happy about his contract situation, but ou couldn't tell it from the interview he gave Lisa last night.
I think Cato's comments about Ming have quite a bit to do with the respectful comments Ming made towards Cato earlier, but... I'm beginning to have a bit of respect of Cato. We all know that he has quite a bit of natural athleticism going for him, but that his problem has always been motivation and maturity. I can't help but be reminded that a number of people in this world (like myself) take awhile to 'get it'. If we assume the 3 years in Portland were lost years, then we really have 1 year of underachevement as a backup, and 1 year of total failure as a starter. I know that out of college, I spent 3 years coasting along without any clear desires or goals before I started to work hard. I know I wouldn't have faired well if all of my failures had been as public as Cato's. The fact that Kelvin came into camp this year is such better shape than he did last year combined with his effort thus far leads me to believe that he may be really ready to put forth effort. He's never going to be an all-star, and I really don't think he'll be able to sustain his current production, but I'm really beginning to believe again that he can become a 1st class role-player. Question: As Cato is the only remainning asset from the Pippin trade, which would you rather have, Pippin and his contract, or Cato and his?
great question...you should start a thread. At THIS point I'd say Cato, at any other it would be Pip. Vague enough?
It's a miracle we were able to dump that Pippen contract. Look at him trying to play now, bad back and all.
Cato was really impressive the way he put up against other centers that he played against. Don't tell me that it takes a guy name Yao Ming for him to wake his A$$ up! Give me more minutes,Rudy T!
In my opinion, that is "it." Seems to me that drafting Yao has taken the Kelvinator out of his comfort zone, which is a good thing. Keep that fire lit under your a$$, Cato!
