Can anybody argue that Cat wouldn't be an upgrade over Wesley, James or Sura. Looking at the other playoff teams rosters, we are 3 or 4 players away from getting to the finals. Cat could be one of those pieces, good defender, can create his own shot, good perimeter and FT shooter. Cat must be aware of the Rox salary cap, his campaigning to come back to the Rox may mean he may be willing to take a longer term deal at less $$$.
i agree with tiger. there are no better sg's available at his price range. can't do much better at that position.
Don't mean to digress, but I went to work out at the 24hr Fitness at Hayes and Westheimer this morning (around 10) and saw a Maybach in the parking lot. I was wondering who in the world would drive a car of that caliber for a workout. Lo and behold, when I met up with my trainer, he asked me if I saw Cat on my way in. Unfortunately I didn't, but apparently, Cat's been working out at this 24hr about twice a week.
I am with you on this. Of all the ideas that are floating around on this board, Cuttino makes the most sense to me. I am campaigning his qualities on other threads too. He's fast, shoots the 3, good defender, had his best defensive rebounding and assist year with JVG. What's not to like? And I know you took back your comments a little bit Franchise23, but why would you say that Cuttino is not wanted by JVG. He was traded because we got the best player in the NBA in return.
don't be fooled by the report. cat was in beijing and interview by a local reporter. what else do you expect him to say? "i love the kings better than the rockets", "i don't like yao as a player, he's too soft and can't hold his position" ... ?
He wasn't in Beijing. He was in Texas and went to NBA final game one, was interviewed by a reporter from China, he made such statement on the occasion without much pressures from media.
I hope Rox can get Cat back, but the chance is not high because he is not PG and PF that the team needs most.
