My main concern here is defense. This lineup would be awful defensively. Wing players would go nuts on us and our big men would end up in foul trouble. I also don't think Claxton is good enough to run a team for 35-40 mins a game.
I used to propose Kurt and Ward for Cato and Mooch often, when we still had KT. Of course I'd still do that. Don't see Cat involved in this one. I'd take Spree for Taylor. Spree's contract is shorter.
I would definitely do both of your trades. But New York wouldn't. Give up a solid veteran power forward in Kurt Thomas and well a bad point guard for a crazy center and a crappy point guard. Crappy is wose than bad. I think they would be more interested in Glen Rice than Moochie...because of his contract....and their budget and salary payrolls and stuff. I would do Sprewell for Taylor. I would love to! But why would New York?
They would do Spree for Taylor cause Dice is kaput and they want to axe Spree. They would do Kurt for Cato to get a legit 5, but yeah, you'd have to sweeten the deal. They take mooch cause they have no pg. Ok, it takes a little sweetener. We like Ward a lot cause he has an expiring contract. Who cares how he plays? Maybe Cat makes it sweeter. How 'bout EG for sugar?
Sprewell and Thomas and Ward for Mobley and Cato and Taylor... lol....naw. Please give up Griffin! Are they interested in him? Mobley and Griffin for Houston and Thomas. The Knicks aren't that great to be trading partners.
