Great post verse. Another question to pose (that I alluded to earlier in one of these 50,000 cuttino threads): Would this be an issue if Cuttino had won the 6th man of the year last year? Forget the money. Look at the west, and then the east. Francis and Mobley constantly point out that their goals are to be All Stars. All Star guards in the Western Conference: 1) Gary Payton 2) Steve Francis 3) Kobe Bryant 4) Jason Kidd When would Cuttino ever crack this rotation? That's right... never. Keeping in mind that the All Star ballots are voted on by fans... don't you think that Cuttino wants to be seen on t.v. 50 times next year beside Vince? Damn, he's going to look really good dropping 25 ppg and having the NBC crew rant and rave about him saving the Raptors. Cuttino will join the Raptors and he will be an All Star, next year. ------------------ The ClutchCity 500.
Achebe, exactly my point!! I do wish Cuttino stays though it's unlikley when he knows he will get all Mcgreedy's shots.....who was'nt great until the end of last season, where he started taking 20 shots or more......which Cuttino will love to have, insteaad of the 10-15 he averages here in Houston. I believe it will be better if the rockets let Cuttino go and get Rashad Lewis. Though do the any of you guys know if the Rockets will have the salary cap to get him instead of Cuttino? Lewis will a good fit with Kenny T......those guys will make the Rockets a better rebounding team which they badly need ......they will improve the D as well. It looks like everyone agrees that Cuttino will get his shots with Toronto therefore, giving the guy a chance to make the all-star team. So let the guy go and get over him, cause it's his life, and he's got to do whatever is best for him....... even though it may not be what's best for the Rockets! I'm sure if you guys could ball like Mobes then you'll be doing exactly what Mobes is....and that's HEADING FOR THE BORDER! ------------------ $$ out $$
well golly the Cat, I guess that makes anybody who has not seen those two guys play for Rudy, or has formed their own opinion that the Rockets may actually NOT be better than another team, ignorant. your post is exhibit A in why people should not post after a night out with the Miller family. ------------------ if a Bryce Drew gets traded in the summer does anyone make a sound?
Swami: McGreedy!! LOL! i like that... hey, i appreciate the complement. as for your response, i see your point about vince, and whether or not he will stay in toronto. should he bail, they would be in deep doo doo. however, the same argument can be made about houston. if francis bails, we'd be in deep doo doo. bottom line is that cuttino is not a "franchise player." he is a franchise supporting player. a franchise right hand man. in fact, if you want to compare him to someone, try scottie pippen. not scottie's persona (he's worse than cod liver oil), but his ability. they both are players which are very good on their own. they are also both players which, in order to take it to the next level (read: all star status) must have a superstar to feed off of. hey, without mike, scottie's not much. without scottie, mike's still mike. same goes for francis and cuttino. without cuttino, francis probably scores even more. without francis, cuttino probably turns into penny hardaway. as for the $$$, issue, good point. he would have to make 6MM. however, how much $$ will he make off of being that country's second biggest star? ask yourself this question: what would rudy have done in that situation? he would have cut his ass, that's what he would have done. you have to remove a cancer as quickly as possible, even if it possibly damages the rest of the body chemistry. also, the tension in toronto came from butch carter not being able to remove his head from his sphincter. it seems he didn't get the memo: _______________________________________________________________ Achebe: you're absolutely correct. the east is garbage. especially the guards of the east. put cuttino mobley in toronto next to half-jordan, half-dominique and he'll be an allstar soon...very soon...damnit, this season. ___________________________________________________________ i do have two hopes for cuttino staying a rocket: 1. some insight he may have that steve will definitely be a rocket for some time to come, coupled with a lack of knowledge of whether or not vince will stay in dinoland. and (thanks to swami) 2. toronto possibly not being willing to give him $6MM+. oh yea, here's #3: a strong affinity for 104 degree liquid air!
