ESPN 790 just played a Casserly clip that said that he didn't think the team would be picking at 13. He said that a move probably won't be made until teams our on the clock, and that they could go up or down. Here's hoping for a trade up for DJ or a trade down for more picks. Credit to hpf.com on the news.
So Casserly came out and said that the Texans would most likely not pick at the 13th pick? You got that from another board or from 790 itself?
A poster on houstonprofootball.com, the Texans equivialant to this site, posted it after hearing it on 790.
I've read where DJ is slipping, hope it's not true. Allegedly, the Boys don't consider him a first round talent.
The only team who may take him is Cleveland. They are a huge question mark. They need a QB, but they need a lot of things and with Romeo being defensive minded and them losing most of their D-line and probably swithching to a 3-4 DJ could be the pick.
My gut feeling tells me that the Titans and Texans will be trade partners again this year. I see the Titans giving up the #6 spot and moving down to the Texans #13 spot. The Titans than would be picking up additional 2nd or 3rd round picks. I did not see two teams within the same division doing deals but it happened last year and I have a gut feeling it going to happen again. Floyd Reese is going to trade down the only question is with which team. The Titans have far to many holes to fill and a trade down makes so much sense for the Titans.
Where did you read that? I read the exact opposite, he had a great workout in the combine and even had the fastest shuttle run out of all players. Hopefully, he is slipping, so we can pick him up. Him and Robinson would be the cornerstone for our defense.
Whats the news with Pac-man Jones and his dirty urine? The guy is sliding big time. Anyone have any info regarding this?
What if we trade with the Titans for their #6 pick and Braylon Edwards and Derrick Johnson are there. Who would you take?
If the Texans move up, then it better not be for DJ. He'd be worth it as a value pick at #13, but certainly no higher as a ILB for the Texans. The same can be said about the big 3 running backs. The only players I can see the Texans moving up to get are Edwards, Mike Williams, Rolle, or Pac-Man Jones. No other player is worth moving up for.
With the release of Sharper today, I think I'd rather than have DJ then Edwards or Rolle, and I'd much rather have him than Williams or Jones. There is alot of depth in this draft at CB and WR, that we could get in the 3rd round, there isn't depth like that at LB. Even if we trade our second rounder to trade up, we can still land a solid guy at both CB and WR with our two picks in the third.
