I take Jackson any day over Cassell.

Did you see Cassell playing for the Celtics. He took was very selfish and took a lot of bad shots. Everytime he came on the floor, their game was getting slower because he couldnt do a good pg.

They're both chuckers. However, Bobby plays better D. Frankly though, I want neither.

thanks for not reading my posts.

really? will you take $5 instead of $1000?

you realize that Doc Rivers has something to do with this?

do you even know who Sam Cassell is? have you seen him play with the Clippers, Bucks, Rockets, TWolves?

did you not remember Cassell schooling Farmar and Fisher? no, you only like to watch when Sam gets rushed into the game for 5 minutes and taken out.

again, let me teach you something about the NBA, its about coaches.

do you remember Rafer Alston under JVG?
thanks. no cost for this class.

Actually Jackson was pretty good when he was a bench player.
Also, Jackson is a good piece for trade. He has a 6 mil expiring contract.

What tells you that Cassell would play better with Adelman?

cause RAFER ALSTON played better with him.

    duh.

Have you seriously never seen Sam Cassell play? is this your first time watching him?

Was Ray Allen washed up and the worst SG in the league after he stunk up the Cleveland series? or was the REAL Ray Allen the one who played against the Lakers?

Hey here's trivia, who was Sam Cassell's back up PG with the Bucks?

Cmon now. He was ok. He struggled with his shot alot. The fact that he has a nice sized expiring contract is his real value.

I don't mind adding Cassell and Horry, but you're delusional if you expect them to help us much if at all. I give Francis a better shot at being a contributor than either of them.

Guys... Cassell looked bad on the Celtics because he didn't know the offense and struggled to find his role on a team that already included 3 superstars and several established key role players. If you saw what he did with the Clippers you would know he still has something to provide.

Cassell shoots at a high FG% clip and knows how and when to attack. Something the Rockets need. More importantly he brings the attitude and locker room presence this team desperately needs. He didn't have to get vocal with KG, Allen, or any other Celtic because that team was already playing as professionals with a mission. The Rockets don't have that confidence or will power, Cassell could bring that. Whether he actually plays or not.

Cassell could be the 15mpg contrast to Alston that we desperately need. He could be the swagger, leadership, intensity, and experience that winds up being contagious.

Its win now. Thats obvious now.

Tinman is barely tolerable right now. Imagine the GARM if Horry or Cassell ever returned? Every single thread would get hijacked. ;)

Couldn't agree more. The team needs someone that knows how to close out a team in the playoffs. Though I think Cassell would probably want to much when it comes to money. Would hate to see a team like the Spurs pick him up, that wouldn't be good.

I have zero interest in seeing Cassell or Horry in a Rockets uniform again. Barry hasn't done much to excite me in a while, either. We need more youth and athleticism, not more age and stagnation.

Ok, seriously this board is really overrating Cassell.
Next year, Cassell will be 40 years old. He will be older and worser than last year.

Ray Allen choked in one serie. Cassell choked in all the series except the first one. 2nd round FG: 24%, 3rd round FG: 23 % and Finals: 37%.

We dont need to spend money on another 5-10 min pg. We need concentrate more on what we need the most, third scorer and bench sg/sf. I would be waste of money to sign Cassell.

We already have Alston, Brooks, Francis and Jackson. I am sure even Francis could play better than Cassell.
