    Random musings....

I wonder how much our selection at 3 would determine our willingness to trade the 17+26 for a higher pick

Will the Rockets have to wait until 17 or even 26 for the trade to be agreed upon or will it be finalized before then?

Who are the players that the Rockets' are most interested in if they trade up?

Just my own opinion but whoever Stone has tagged at 17 would be the guy he trades up for if he has to. For example, if he loves Eason and he gets a sense that Tari will be gone by 17 then Stone will move up with the 26th pick to take him. If Eason is there at 17 Stone will draft him accordingly and trade the 26th pick out for a future 1st.

Cleveland could be competing with us for Eason at 14 so Stone would have to convince Charlotte to take Eason at 13 and then takes Williams at 15, with us taking whoever the Hornets want at 17 and 26.

Between 12 and 16 I don't see any team needing Mark Williams

    13 Charlotte: Needs a center
    14 Cleveland: don't need a center
    15 Charlotte: Needs a center
16 Atlanta: Might need one if they trade Capela but not a surefire need

He's a quicker shorter version of Lamar Odom. Brings in a variety of offense skills

Rockets really need size, preferably wings. Hopefully Eason can be had. MarJon at 26 makes sense but with the craziness of the draft, who knows who will be on board by then

My brain today is saying go for HR swing in trading up for Griffin. Hard to tell If he will be defensive plus down theline. So it does not really jive with the PB pick but I don't know I just think we take a swing. Id love to move up from both 17 and 26 high enough to get Mark Williams and Griffin.

Just like the Texans, why do I feel someone is going to snipe Eason in front of us... every media outlet shows Eason to Rockets at 17th.

    Trade up for Eason.

Patrick needs to get on his horse.

Assuming the rockets keep this pick at 17, Eason would be a solid get. He improved significantly coming from Cincy in year 1 and coming off the bench.

He should have been a starter at LSU tbh

I think i would trade a player like Martin or Tate and the 17th pick to Charlotte to get their 13th pick. Charlotte needs money to sign Miles Bridges so they need players who are less expensive but talented. Martin is cheap so i would give the 17th and Martin for the 13th pick and choose either Dieng, Sochan or Eason.

This is the first positive thing I have seen you post about the current rockets.

It'd be tough to move both picks upwards!

Might be "take your pick" of Williams or Eason at 17 though - looks like the classic rim protector/ rim roller Cs are sliding down the boards at the moment.
