Yes, he will hold a special place in our hearts because he won a national championship against supposedly the "best college football team ever" in dramatic fashion.

And judging from your use of "T-Sips" and "Burnt Orange" instead of being a full grown adult and just saying "University of Texas" or "UT" I assume that you are an Aggie....one who is still desperately pissed off at how much more success we have achieved in every single level of athletics and academics.

The hopes that Vince Young will find success in the NFL have waned for pretty much everyone but FWIW, I don't think there was ever anything wrong in the first place with hoping someone who delivered great moments and years for a team you are a fan of has success.

You weren't around here from 2005-2008, when VY-UT fans became the most obnoxious a**holes to ever infest the internets.

You're never going to persuade anyone around here to forget that. Ever.

I think UH fans are way too self-defeatist to have any delusions of grandeur regarding their players. I don't think I've met anyone who had any unrealistic expectations for Case...

But we all definitely like and are rooting for the guy!

I don't think Case will ever be a starting NFL qb, but it is worth a look to see if he can be a good back up qb. He is mobile, very smart, will work hard, stay out of trouble, learn the offense perfectly and help the starter in anyway he can. He does not have a strong arm, but it is not as big an issue as a back up and with solid accuracy.

No risk for Texans, worth a shot.

I wouldnt have minded to sign Kellen Moore to compete with Keenum for 3rd string.

I couldn't give two ****s about Vince Young's professional career. I'm with everyone who dislikes the huge VY homers that were mad the Texans didn't go with VY in the 2006 draft.

Keenum is worth a flier. Many believe that his results were due to the offensive system, but I believe it's worth signing him to find out. I always thought he was extremely accurate and clutch. Why not roll the dice on him?

Rather have Patrick Edwards return kicks for the Texans.

ROFL. Love this answer. Sounds about right.

Go find a thread called Vince Young the Great. See how dumb it looks. I think I'll bump it during the summer time when there is NOTHING going on.

can't believe we got the guy who brought football prominence to the Harvard of the Southeast, a true leader. he will be the first UH QB to win the Super Bowl for the Texans. the texans will be fools not to start him. i guarantee he will revolutionize the QB position with his precision passing, uncanny elusiveness, and unmatched mental and physical toughness.
