It's nice when you don't have to make excuses for 19 year old rookies, they just play well because they are talented
what do you think of him being sent to g league for a while or at least to play in g league on off nba days... not getting enough playing time imho is not good...SMH he could also play more freely there and work on his midrange and 3pt shot shamelessly chucking...this is something hes being denied by silas here
This kid just had a very good game against Nurkic, Nance and Covington. He's very difficult to slow down except with elite defenders. Perfect player, his shot chart is a stats dream, Silas has him developing perfectly. Doesn't waste time on mid rangers, only attacks the interior or takes a 3 if they sag. Rebounds, passes, plays defense. He's going to be such a good player. Garuba is going to be the perfect complimentary player for him, just watch they will squeeze Wood out before the beginning of next season.
As we've seen from Green, the G league doesn't really do anything at all to get you ready for the NBA. Sengun will be just fine once the team dumps some players and expands his role. Till then, he'll just have to keep shining in the few minutes he gets.
Winning MVP of advanced league at his age means something. People get too enamored with tools sometimes.
imho this is too much to extrapolate from this small sample size...i am sure g league has a done a lot of good to a lot of players and green would be even worse had he done no playing instead of g league and sometimes you just need repetitions shooting 10 3s a game in g-league is 1000X times better than shooting them in an empty gym
