Because they go to one game to Turkey watch another one on tv and thats as much as they will do for white teenager from Europe
Sengun ranks 10th in ppg among rookies. He plays only avg 19.3 mins and averages 9.1 points. Closest player to him is Davion Mitchell. He plays an avg 27.1 mins and avg 9.7 pts. INVEST MORE IN HIM!!! WARNING! Don't look at Green's +/- score.
We should better check and compare efficiency rates per 48 minutes. Al P's efficiency (26.9) is similar as Mobley and Barnes. Jalen Green is just (12.8). https://www.nba.com/stats/leaders/?...&Scope=Rookies&StatCategory=EFF&PerMode=Per48
Doncic, at the top of the ladder, very crafty, high bbiq, extremely experienced for his age with top level competition, has it all type of player, was still selected behind the 'potential' all time greats. What chance does Sengun have? Some qualities, such as fundamentals, bbiq, work ethic, understanding of the game, coachability, should be vastly overlooked during draft selection. That is the only reasonable explanation. And there is surely a 'what if my euro big busts and I will look like the idiot selecting Bargnani' fear. I think the more interesting question is 'How is he not getting more minutes now?' He is the only player that does something in terms of moving the ball and bring something other than one-on-one play, which usually ends up with jacking up a tough shot.
Per 36 stats: Sengun: Pts 17.0/ Reb 8.2/ Ast 4.5/ Blk 0.9/ Stl 3.2 Mobley: Pts 15.6/ Reb 8.4/ Ast 2.7/ Blk 1.3/ Stl 1.0
Very impressive, but TOs and fouls per 36 would bring us back down to reality a bit… Sengun: Pts 17.0/ Reb 8.2/ Ast 4.5/ Blk 0.9/ Stl 3.2 / TO 4.8 / PF 6.3 Mobley: Pts 15.6/ Reb 8.4/ Ast 2.7/ Blk 1.3/ Stl 1.0 / TO 1.8 / PF 2.3 I too am loving the Sengun experience, but the TOs and fouls are…high.
Super active 16 minutes... His efforts must be appreciated. But for Silas not! He is just killing Al-P's confidence.
The PFs will decrease as he gets acclimated to the NBA game. He also got called a couple absurd fouls. And after all, he won't foul out in 20 minutes, it is not like he is fouling machine. The TOs are definitely high. He is trying to make things happen, sometimes too much and sometimes the team mates are not ready for his thinking. Based on his current learning curve, I am almost certain he will limit those. On top of that combined with his steal numbers, his overall standing is okay. So i don't think this are points that should stop him from playing more.
