This is what I'm thinking as well. My guess is that the staff just wants to ensure he's physically ready for the NBA grind before taking off the training wheels. I can dig it. Here's to a fun injury free season for the entire squad .
starters and 2nd unit look like 2 different teams with totally different offeensive philisophies starters are more ISO 2nd unit are more ball movement almost like GSW/nuggets
Because he's the starting center Houston deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll bench him. Because he can take it. Because he'd single-handedly ruin the tank. He's a basketball whisperer, a whirling dervish. A Turkish knight.
His offensive rebounding skills in preseason is not surprising. Alperen Şengün | Offensive Rebounding | First Two Preseason Games Alperen Şengün | Offensive Rebounding | Turkish League
I thought of that as well. There is no reason to rush anything this year. Seguin is going to be a starter before the year’s out. Green and KPJ will get better on defense. Wood will find his role and excel if Silas turns out to be a decent coach. All the angst on this board after one bad preseason game where you didn’t play Tate (one of your glue guys) is very frustrating to me. This is a re-build year. We won’t know what we really have until the last quarter of the season, if that soon.
AMAZING...and its always either a layup , dunk, an amazing pass or hes being fouled for FTs JUST AMAZING also that second jump after missed layup or whatever is very quick, this is the key to me...
I was thinking the same thing .... Tate was fantastic last year as the "initiator" .... they scored on something like 77% of the possessions where he initiated the offensive set which is insane. Both these guy's just make the right play ...
Senguin is going to need a counter move to his fake pass handoff and then spin drive to the bucket. He gets lots of drives this way now but teams will stop it of he doesn't have a counter. Maybe a bit of a step back and a mod range pop will keep defenses honest.
