I dont think they will have to give up more than Green/Jabari/Cam or Tari plus picks.

    Or substitute Sengun for Green.

Personally, I wouldn't mind giving up both Green/Sengun for Giannis.

Spurs will find a way to pair him and Wemby together. That's pretty scary

It’s a huge gamble, and if Giannis is close to being out of his prime we’ll be shooting ourselves in the foot. He'll be 31 not 25 and his entire game is running and dunking the ball. Relies on his athleticism more than anyone in this league. If he loses his athleticism or some portion of it we will have a bum in our hands because he can't shoot at all.

He's 29 yrs old, prime years are 27-33. I would take my chances to get 4 prime years of Giannis. Of course I'm a risk taker. Seems like most here want a homegrown championship level team and that's not happening with this group.

He'll be 30 in a month and he'll be 31 when he starts for us. I'm not trading my entire team for a 31 year old player unless he's as good as Lebron or Curry.

If they trade for him now they will get 3 years of prime Giannis and no you wont be trading off the future, you're just trading an inconsistent Green and Sengun who struggles to play defense.

You do make a good case, I guess this comes down to what you feel the current group of Rockets ceiling is. I dont ever see these guys winning a championship.

It's hilarious that you call Green inconsistent and Sengun a bad defender, and also think the Bucks would somehow be okay with trading Giannis for two subpar players hahaha

The West is a slaughterhouse, the more the merrier, it is just going to be harder for him to win one with all the shooting in the West.

I doubt that the Rockets are going to sign Thanasis, who knows.

I wouldn't trade Alpi, Tari, Amen, Reed, Jalen for Giannis.

I could be convinced to let go of Jabari and Cam, if that plus picks and one of the vets + fillers were to get it done.

If the nba took out the 3 point line, that lineup would be pretty sick

Bari, Jalen and Tari might be competent enough out there. Tari could handle some playmaking, but when the offense turns into quite literally ‘layup drill’ we might be splitting atoms. Team defense would be stout right? or nah?

You could definitely run a pretty awesome switching defense. Giannis isn’t the defender he used to he but is still very good, just the rim protection would be weak. To be fair, it’s weak now anyway. I don’t think it’s a contender though because the shooting would be pretty bad and there would be almost no playmaking. Giannis is mediocre at that and jalen is ok but nothing great.

What if all 3 are near 40% at volume? Playmaking turns into “Give Giannis the ball and he’ll either score or collapse the D” Jalen and Tari are good enough 2nd and 3rd options to create. Amen springs to life here inside the 3.

Maybe they will buy into those guys potential.

I've got a feeling Amen will be going in the trade.

Ya if they can all 3 be legit 40% shooters it would work i think. It's tough when you have 2 guys who are COMPLETE zero's outside of the rim though. The timing with Giannis doesn't work IMO though, his defense has already declined and by his early 30s will decline more, and he's also a guy who struggles in the playoffs. If you're talking about Jokic, to me that's a different level from giannis and i would give up the farm for him because i think he will age much better and he's also just a much better player.

I also need to see a good healthy stretch from Tari before i can commit that he can be a high quality starter on a team that's trying to go deep in the playoffs.
