"Based" is the right word. It would be a mistake to view the film as some sort of accurate portrail of events that actually happened.

    Good movie though.

Kingdom of Heaven really sucks. I got more educational value watching a Beavis and Butthead marathon.

Turks refer to the people! I'm referring to the nation state. So it's like saying we need 20 "Turkey"s, not 20 Turks.

I disagree. Many ex-colonial nations have recovered and joined in the world economy. Nearly every Asian nation. South America is on the rise. India is on the rise.

It's time to stop blaming the west for the failures in the Middle East. It's irrelevant. Those countries have squandaried the wealth from oil for nothing. No one is stopping nations from industrializing and educating their people. In fact, the most middle east countries don't want that - they see it as becoming "westernized".

I kind of liked that movie. I went in hearing it sucked, so maybe it achieved from low expectations. I didn't watch it to be educated though.

thats right, when i buy a TV i dont buy it from Isreal or Gaza, I make sure the freakin Japanese made it.

When I call tech support to any US computer company, those dudes better be from some Indian call center.

Also, when did the middle east ever supply such amazing pork dishes as they do in South America!

They just supply us oil and people who can easily dispose of the danish flags you couldnt dispose of on ebay!

That's bigotry of you to claim that. Do you wish to refute that, or do you accept you are a bigot?

It isn't bigotry, it is pointing out a double-standard. It is also pointing out that the vast majority of the world's violence recently is muslim related... are you going to deny that? What are non-Muslims supposed to think when EVERYTIME they turn on the TV there is more and more ignorant violence from people who call themselves muslims? What are non-Muslims supposed to think when AMERICAN MUSLIMS don't speak out LOUDLY gainst such ignorance by their own people? Jews, Christians and other religions don't get the safety net that Muslims do when it comes to condemning their own...

Please feel free to reread my post from the previous page that went uncommented on...

I will forever be confused by Islam until... millions of civilized muslims stand together against their radical brothers...
