I never said this would be a championship team. It would be a better team than we have currently.

You don't think Yao is going to demand the max like Amare. Odom is going to make the same as Posey will this next year.

So the only salary difference is EG and Grant. If we are going to be successful at all, EG has to do something and if he does, how much do you think he would want? I would rather be spending money on a above average Center/PF than some kid that hasn't shown any improvement at all and a has been.

VC sounds like a desperate man waiting for someone to pull the plug on him or the team. Here is my solution. Move Raptors to L.A. and move L.A. CLIPPERS to Toronto. That should even things out a bit.

You've only been around a day or so...

That is not why so many people want Cat out of town. That started way before those comments.

Ok, you've got me. Let me rephrase it to:

That's "part of the reason" why so many people want the Cat out of town :p

Yeah, you probably have been around much longer than I'm... gee, how in the hell can anyone posting over 13000, do you have a life

With that said, I could probably have break your record 4 years down the road with my current rate... but I'll somehow try to avoid it because I don't want to have your "Hangout Boy" title or something similar to that by the way :D

Sure, but I still have worries that the team you proposed will have the Rockets ended up like the Trial Blazers... with too many second-tier or over-the-hill star players ... someone mentioned in another thread that in this league, superstars rules. Having a superstar on a not-so completed roster is better than a more complete roster with bunch of second-tier stars or players past their prime. I happened to agree with these people...

Reporter: "Vince, Chris Bosh is only 19 years old and many think he will take a couple years to develop. Would you prefer to keep him and possibly wait a couple of years before turning this team around or would you rather use him to get veteran help so you could win now?"

Vince: "I would prefer to trade him and get a veteran, We need to win right now, not in a couple of years. We need experience."

Better answer: "Whereas bringing in a veteran would be nice, I really don't know enough about Bosh's game to decide which course of action would be better. I trust the talent evaluators of the Raptors to make the right decision."

Best answer: "Well, if this kid can hit a shot, and I mean any shot, in the fourth quarter, that could really complement my game nicely."

I have no problem with him saying that. When he was healthy, Toronto depended on him too much to score in the fourth quarter and had no other options, and he's a guard. Hell, even the most unguardable player in the league has Kobe.

Wow, talk about ignorance. I assume the only game you've ever watched Vince play was game 7 vs. Philly.

Reporter: "Vince, before the draft, you mentioned you wanted to trade the pick for some veteran talent. Now that the Raptors have decided to keep the pick, have you changed your mind to be political correct or do you stand by what you said earlier and prefer to trade the pick?"

Vince: "I would prefer to trade him and get a veteran, We need to win right now, not in a couple of years. We need experience."

Wow, talk about taking silly posts seriously and delivering a devastating zinger. I may never recover. I will never defame a fragile, 41% playoff FG superstar again. Promise.

With offensive powerhouses like Charles Oakley, Antonio Davis, and Alvin Williams at his side, he should have shot like 60% in the playoffs. How could the defense key on him?

Now you're just showing your stupidity. I guess Iverson sucks because he 'only a 39% playoff FG superstar'. [IMG]

Good point, pg! :D But you could argue he should elevate the game of those around him -- not sure that's true. Not in the games I've watched.

Anyway, I had no idea there were so many defenders, ready to pounce. Okay, okay, I'll shuffle back to the Hangout.

Has JAG/MacBeth forgotten his password again and come back as gamer4Life? :D

Now he's doing some out of character name calling to disguise himself.

I had no idea there were so many haters ready to pounce on Carter for no big deal.

B-bob was just kidding gamer. Besides, why are you even standing up for Carter? His game has really fallen off since his injuries. Hell, if he actually stayed healthy he could help his team 'win now.' And lets not even talk about his horrible D.
Bosh might develop into a good player, but carter doesn't even want to wait and do whats best for the team, he wants to get some mid-level vet and 'win now'. Like there is someone out there who can help them get the championship. Unless Bosh can get the Raptors Shaq or Duncan it 'ain't' gonna happen. Too bad carter can't see that, instead he creates a situation of tension between him and the new 'stud' that might take away some of the little spot light he's slowly losing.

Raptors can't win as long as Vince is shooting that ridiculous fadeaway that barely ever goes in. Does he not feel like trying?
