I couldn't decide what to go with after hearing this. Either a "Child Please" or a Deion Sanders "H.O.P". This dude is declining at a crazy Delhomme-esque rate yet is going to request a trade from this team that should have demoted him two seasons ago(despite how crap and ineptly run they are). They brought his lil bro in and made him their backup qb when the guy should be battling it out in the UFL or at most be a 3rd stringer. His Wide Receivers should be the ones demanding trades.
Palmer sucks but [sadly] there are teams around the league that could actually use him. Teams like Arizona, Carolina, Oakland, Minnesota or Tennessee. The dude basically defines 'mediocre' and has no spine, intangibles or will to win but he DOES throw for a ton of yardage. The right system and the right coach might be able to have some fun with the Vanilla Ice of football.
This is the best news I've heard in a while. The only drawback is that it means Bratkowski is probably coming back. No Carson, no Ocho, no TO, no Ced, no problem I'll be happy watching Cam Newton, Gresham, and Andre Caldwell style on fools all day next season. but seriously. I'm so glad Carson is out. /does the shimmy for like 15 minutes
Great all in the Rams divison. Between him and McNabb one of the NFC West teams is boudn to get him. What about Minnesota? They need a quarterback.
Mike Brown: "We are not trading Carson." Says Palmer requested trade last week and Brown said 'No.' Also, Childress not coming to #Bengals.
They said: Arizona because Ken Whisenhunt coached in that division. San Fran - Wife is I guess from the area Seattle - Pete Carroll
Smart move by Palmer. Puts the Bengals on notice. They've got to make major improvements or he's gonna sit at home. I like it. The Bungling Bengals have been bad for way too long. And they keep bringing in low character guys and going nowhere. Carson is a true pro. I hope he gets a chance to compete, either there or with someone else. He made the right move.
A QB swap between Tenny and Cincy makes sense all the way around. Vince and Benson together again. DD
Sadly I could see someone like TO pushing VY over the edge and him actually going through with his suicide threats. Could you just imagine TO getting in Vince's face when he doesn't get him the ball. It would be interesting.
basically mike brown isnt making any changes. i hope carson retires too, he sucks anyways. all i'm doing is sitting around and laughing at this point. i cant wait to see carson walk, and bratkowski brought back, that stadium will have like 10 people in it. oh and i am in favor of the team moving at this point. i could care less if we didnt get another football team. just means everyone will turn towards the reds, more of a baseball town again, nothing wrong with that
In Mike Brown's eyes Ocho and Palmer are franchise level players so he wont trade them. Needless to say thats why the Bengals are a joke of an organization
Palmer doesn't have the pull he had before his injury to be demanding trades. But isn't Cincy the front office that is like still in the dark ages? One scout, no indoor practice facility, something along those lines? Hell, I'm surprised more players don't want to get out of there.
Hmm...let's see. You have a QB that threw for 4,000 yards yet you were unable to even record a 1,000 yard receiving season (with TO drawing most of the defense's attention, no less). What to do? I don't know....maybe try getting OPEN?
Indeed, he is. http://nfl.fanhouse.com/2011/01/25/chad-ochocinco-announces-plans-to-change-name-back-to-johnson/
