Cars rule. Keep in mind that I am modifying my Mustang. I just don't like power-adders. I've got massive plans for the 'Stang. I've managed to start a bit, but I'm nowhere near finished.
Ahhh... So that is how it works. I think i actually have to look at the Engine to better understand. Does anyone have an RX-7 that I can look at, and sit in, and drive? I'll post pics of cars tommorow. I found some dandys on the internet. Supras with Targa Tops and a vielside body kit is Hella sexy. I'm surprised nobody mentioned the Honda S2000. That might be the best roadster out there. The Lexus IS300 is nice too. I'd like to take that car out for a drive along Allan Parkway, and Memorial drive heading in and out of downtown. Anybody go racing illegally? Where do y'all go to check it out. Remmeber Street racing is Illegal... ...But it's not cheatin unless you get caught.
Actually, the Pantera was produced until 1996, but American versions are limited to the early run to which you refer, and two brief recertifications, once in the early eighties, and once in the early nineties. Here's a page with some pictures of DeTomasos, including a couple of late-model Panteras and the last Pantera 200 sold to the public: http://www.panteracars.com/gallery1.html
Kam, Word of Advice regarding the RX-7's and their "Rotary Engine" One of my good friends bought one as soon as it came out a few years back and had problems with it for years. The warranty was great, but it was a hassle, and its not really that comfortable. It is very quick and hugs the ground extremely well. My brother had a 96 Supra Twin Turbo with the Targa top and had all kinds of things done to it to push it to about 400 horsepower. The car never faltered either. We know the guy he sold it to a few years back and he has never had any problems. A friend of mine has a Red 1997 Non-Turbo Supra that he is looking to sell if you are truly interested. My brother subsequently bought a silver Acura NSX, that is absolutely beautiful. He has Enkei wheels on it, a McIntosh sound system, a glass casing over the engine and even Nitrous Oxide with switches in his glove compartment. I bought a Mustang Cobra in 1998 and only Kept it for a year and a half for you Mustang fans out there. It was fun to drive, but the handling was lacking. I was afraid with all that power and all that missing handling that I was going to fly into a ditch one day. The Lincoln Navigators are built on the Ford Expedition Platform like the Cadillac Escalade's are built on the Yukon Platform. The cost is more but sitting inside a Navigator and you will realize the difference. I got a Navigator last year as a second car and love to drive around town in it. It is much more comfortable, handles great and is pretty quick with 300 horsepower. It also has some great features like the (Beeps) when you are backing up that tell you how far you are from any object behind you, a great sound system and it looks mean. My dream car though is a Ferrari 550 Maranello. An absolutely beautiful piece of machinery. I currently drive a Lexus SC400 as my main car, but hope to be in a Silver 2002 911 in the next year or so. That would be verrrry nice...
Smokey, I got it fully loaded and it has the larger size wheels, premium sound system etc. My brother has an Escalade and he has a TV and DVD player in there so I might do that too. Its fun driving around with like music video's playing through the speakers and on the TV too. I really don't like messing with cars too much though. Maybe some additional speakers but nothing too gaudy.
Ummmm......well, I stand corrected. If you're into the original Pantera, though, you've got the 71-74 models imported to America, and the numbers concerning the rarity of those cars stands.
I'm driving a 1996 Lexus ES300 Coach Edition, and when I'm ready to get rid of it, I'll trade it in and buy another Lexus. I've owned Toyotas my whole life. Why change now?
Equivelent of the Ferrari?!?!! Those rednecks at TNN are crazy. I've driven an NSX and wasn't that impressed. The Supra on the other hand does handle nicely.
Because Nissans are better. J/k. I owned a Camry that went through 3 wrecks and was reliable for 130k miles. The only reason I decided to go with Nissan Maxima instead of a Camry again was because of 1) The Nissan V6 engine, 2) I thought the Camry and its Toyota siblings looked too bland 3) The Max could be had cheaper or for about the same price. Now there's no way I'd pick a Camry over an Altima. Bang for the buck, the Altima is a ridiculously good value.
The current NSX is a nice vehicle, but is way over-priced for what it offers. I'd take the new Vette Z06 over it any day. It's half the price and about 50% more performance. But the new NSX they're bringing out is a stud vehicle. It would definitely give some (not all) Ferarri's a run and do so far cheaper. As for the Supra, a slightly modified Supra would destroy an NSX.
No one reminded me but anyways its currently on ebay, I am not the seller. I still have a set of keys, its tempting.
Yo Baqui, hate to disrupt this thread (I have a Ranger too, BTW), but can you tell me what's up with the Dell Parmer courts. Can anyone go...is it indoors...cost money? I'm just trying to get this pickup game finalized before people leave tomorrow. Thanks.
While that F1 and the Lamborgini are pretty sweet, right now my dream ride is: <img src="http://www.lexus.com/images/showroom/model/sc/morephotos/ph_sc430_1.jpg"> Though in my "dream" world I own many cars and a few bikes. Back to reality...a pair of Fords and no bikes...
