Are you saying that Chuck Hayes is NOT an above-average NBA big man? I'm sure as hell not.

Yeah, I'd probably take Hayes over Darko. But that doesn't mean that Darko's trash. Just that he (and Hayes) is better than the average NBA big man (including all bench players and scrubs). Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that both are above the MEDIAN NBA big man.

RGV looks alot better today as a team.

They are looking more for Thabbet on offense, and isolating him in the post, exposing his flaws, but I am liking his attitude, getting frustrated with the misses but getting back on D quickly.

Looking more active and less stagnant, boxing out people but still not imposing his body on the D glass.

I predict his stats will be worst then in the first game, and the haters will hate, but I like him better in this game, just more active.

But you can clearly see that he is thinking alot, and not doing it naturally, that is the process that we hope takes some but not alot of time. He is thinking so much more today then he was last game, that is missing the timing on some easy blocks (easy for him).

Let´s hope these 3 fouls in the first half are not a problem, and he is able to play big mins, he needs more burn.

The best compliment I can give to Thabeet is, RGV lost the lead when he went to the bench with foul trouble.

And by the way, Jerel McNeal, great baller.

His good hands will translate to tips in and put backs. He seems to have an OK looking jumper from mid range - something that can definitely be improved with time and effort. Im not worried about his offense at all, I am more worried about his foot work.

As he said at college level he just stayed under the rim and swatted flies. But he has had trouble reacting to the oppositions offense in the NBA. He just hasnt been able to make the transition. Thats all he needs to learn to get him game time.

If he can learn to move around properly on defensive assignments then I am confident he can average a double double along with 2-3 blocks in thsi league for many years.

Thanks for posting. Do the Rockets have any developmental coaches for wing players? Someone should coach up Williams to get better accustomed to the offense like Popovich did with Jefferson.
