Carr sucks....he was ok at Fresno state, but has done SQUAT in the NFL...he can't get the ball to AJ over 20 yards. Carr must go..bring in Vince.
I'm bored with your Carr responses. You don't honestly think Vince will step in and do a better job than Carr do you? Vince requires too much work. Remove all the 5-10 yard outside passes and tell me what is left. Carr is a hands down better passer than Vince. Carr can throw in and out of the pocket better than Vince. The only thing Vince can do is run the ball better. I don't want a running QB. What is it exactly that makes you such a VY supporter as opposed to Bush?
Because I think Vince is a DO EVERYTHING QB...he does throw out of the pocket, and when the pocket breaks down, he makes magical things happen. Vince Young can revolutionize the QB position, Carr is shell shocked and makes questionable decisions....what is more, he is not a quick thinker, he takes too long to progress through his reads and thus holds the ball too long. Carr is better than Tim Couch.....but IMHO, Carr is a bust. DD
I'm excited to see how much the team improves under new coaching (whoever that ends up being). I think Capers staff and Casserly's lousy line has done the most damage to Carr. I think we have yet to see the best in Carr and having Bush at his side is would be very exciting. Young is McNair's protege. Young stands to learn much more in Tenn sitting on the bench for a year under Fisher/McNair than our new management. IMO
I too am excited to see what new coaching can do for this team. I still have respect and believe Carr is our QB. But with a new coaching style and better O-line + Bush, we shouldn't have too hard of a time on offense. THere's a lot of work that needs to be done, and is already being done.

Yep..... QB's last a lot longer than RB....and look how many good RB's were not drafted high. Willie Parker & Terrell Davis to name a few. Good RBs are a lot easier to find that good QBs. If Carr was going to be good, he would already be there......he will improve, but I don't think he will ever be great. Look how good Carson Palmer got in Cincinatti in only his 3rd year.....Carr has one more year, and he still stinks. DD
We already have a very good RB in Davis. We have a mediocre QB in Carr. That plus Vince Young's potential make this draft decision a no brainer. Draft Young.
1. The Texans will pass on Vince Young (Casserly) 2. Casserly will be fired within two years after ruining the franchise (further) 3. Carr may be dropped after his extension. 4. Charlie Casserly will go down in Houston sports History alongside John McMullen and Bud Adams. David Carr is a very nice young man and a fiery competitor. He has a strong arm and throws a nice pass. His quarterback rating has never been over 90.0 and that for a reason. He is not Ben R. or Carlson P. With coaching he could become a good (servicable) quarterback, he has the tools. Carr will not be a Pro Bowl Quarterback. Just want to get my predictions in ahead of time.
