You can't honestly think that Diaw had any part of that did you?

Felton, Wallace, Jackson and Chandler were the ones that made that defensive team.

If I remember correctly, Diaw was overweight and was slow to get back on the defensive end of the court.

Going from AK47 to chubby Diaw is a significant downgrade.

Diaw is a solid role player but he's no AK47 defensively.

Now Denver is just being greedy. This could come back to bite them. Melo isn't smart to go to the nets who will be gutted after this. Melo (or lala) is obviously thinking about being in NY with all its glamour more than wanting to win a championship.

Fisher isnt as talented, but being a champion that many times, going through all those teams, matchup, repeating, etc, that's A TON of experience few can match, especially as a starter and leader.

Championship experience, winning that is, is just on another level compared to reaching conference finals. It's a much tougher road and you can't fluke your way there.

i believe he went to 6, but he was still 14-24 during that time, 6-19 when they lost. It's more experience than most players, more than we have here, but i dont think it's worth it with such a losing record, especially during a time when the East was very weak

he's probably thinking about how they got a taller Carlos boozer, got rid of a cold-shooting ballhog in AK and replaced him with two talented players in Hayward and Diaw who have better shot selection and will therefore pass it back to him or someone who's open.

    BWHAWAHA!

LMAO if you think Jefferson is remotely as close as Boozer! While I hate his guts, he is 100X better than Jefferson!

Also, Diaw himself is a chucker, but unlike AK47, can't play consistent defense. Also LOL at Hayward being a special player. I see his window of being a less athletic Korver without the consistent range.

I actually think that New Jersey would have one of the best frontcourts in the East with Anthony-Murphy-Lopez. Sure, the backcourt would be fairly crappy; but I like Morrow as a dead-eye shooter, Terrence Williams could emerge as a jack-of-all-trades point-swingman, and I actually think Jordan Farmar is going to show a lot of people that he's a capable NBA PG.

The playoffs are a distinct probability for the Nets next season if they get Carmelo.

"Special" player? I never said that, but I will say, you're a "special" poster.

Boozer wasnt exactly a superstar, Jefferson can match his production. Less athletic korver?? I hope you're kidding. Hayward isn't vince carter, but he's definitely not less athletic than Korver. I'm guessing you hardly know who he is.

Which would be good... one less playoff spot for the Knicks. :)

It really works out great for us, not only blocking the knicks but having a star player go from west to east. It could turn out to give the knicks more losses and Houston more wins.

I am thinking Denver may still be pretty good next year, unless they decide to go with a "youth movement" by trading Billups. AK is not a bad replacement at SF, and Favors may even contribute.

I'm taking Jefferson over Boozer any day of the week personally.

At least Big Al gives his all every game, and Big Al offensively is about as good as any post man. Boozer is more of a guy that needs a good PG to really shine.

Rocket should fire Morey and hire a wife or a friend of someone. Now all deals are done by wife and friends.

The more wins the Rockets get next season, the worse the 2011 first rounder that the Knicks will end up with via the pick swap . . . thereby making that 2012 Knicks pick even more valuable! ;)

Overall they may still be pretty good, but i think against Houston it works out in our favor. Neither favors or AK are shooters, and neither will get as many calls, much easier on our defense and Melo's shooting often was the reason they'd pull away in games.

Four-team trade may expand to five teams by end of weekend, Denver considering holding out for better deal, and Nets want Augustin.

If the Bobcats stick to their guns and the Nets still need a point guard, there's the possibility of a fifth team being added, making this the most ridiculous trade of the year, or at least a strong candidate.

Favors is pretty good get though. For a PF if you think Patterson is good then obviously its about the same value in my mind.
