Knicks sucks and that's his fault.

He quit on his former team and went to the bigger market even when his Nuggets team was way better than Amare's Knicks.

Nuggets team without that drama pressure had enough potential to go to WCF and eventually with Lakers and Phil were thrown out of the playoffs, you can argue that they could compete with Dallas in a mix for NBA Finals but he destroyed their season and after that he came to the NYC and destroyed their season, too by grabbing the "leadership" role from Stoudemire when he was playing the best basketball of his life and when he was really doing well in terms of his team's record

He said that money is non-factor on his decision. He came to the biggest market in US with a lot of opportunities to earn and spend and he immediately signed the max extension when Knicks already had a max player in Amare and certainly needed a supporting cast

He's playing extremely ineffective and selfish out there. That pressure from last couple of weeks affected him..... and he's playing even worse under it

When you are an attention w**** and one-sided selfish player, a quitter, a guy that proves that he's not a man of his word, maybe it's not his coaches fault that they can't deliver, especially when he plays outside of the system, simply using iso's with no team basketball and without any chemistry with Stoudemire

He just gets what he deserves

Melo isn't a franchise player that's for damn sure. The Knicks got two 2nd-tier stars, who they thought were 1st-tier stars.

    He's from New York.
What makes you so mad against Melo? The Knicks themselves suck, there's no ball movement, they do need a new point guard.

A motivated Baron Davis is just what they need, too bad he's injured .. As bad as Bibby is how can you not start him ..

BTW they should have a countdown to D'Antoni's Firing On the knicks website.

stoudemire didn't try anything the whole fourth quarter and both overtimes

    zero shot attempts

    almost zero touches at all

this is not melo's fault it's the coach's fault

True talk. Last year they had raymond felton and gallo with amare is the focal point of the offense. Nice pick and rolls and some team effort. Now you have Melo who is a chucker and is putting up astronomical amount of shots that all contribute to losses. Last 4 games:

    9-27 loss
    5-22 loss
    11-26 loss
    10-30 loss

    D'antoni's playbook

    1. Pass to Melo iso Three Point line
    2. Pass to Melo Iso Top of Key
    3. Melo Iso dribbling the ball up

Who knew Stoudemire would be none factor without a point guard? I mean, Nash and Billups just played off HIS game, right?

Bringing in Chandler to be the 1 person playing defense on the team was savy move. We all know he doesn't need a guard creating for him either.

He averaged 25 pts with Raymond Felton last year at PG. Tough to do much when Melo is being iso'd the whole game.

On 2 plays in OT, with Amare on the same side as him, he waved Amare off so he could iso.

Really??? If I was Amare, I go over and straight slap the ball out of Melo's hands.

gallo looked like the real 'star'. eh, they can go on a 10 game losing streak, the knicks, and still end up with the 8th seed. Lame.

Felton is still a top 15 PG, but point taken. It might have been the best year he will have in the NBA.

    Denver played 7 guys today.

3 players did well for Denver:

    Gallo,
    Mosgov,
    Harrington.

Someone please add up their stats and compare with the 1 guy they were traded for.

Was George Karl trying to prove a point?
