He is so good, and sooooo underrated right now. The team around him is ass though. The back court is awful.

 

Beating the pacers isn't an achievement anymore.

 

You're such a front running fraud. Now you wanna jump on the Melo bandwagon after you said Morris and Parsons were both better than him, smh.

 

Would be a phenomenal achievement to beat them in a 7 game series.

 

i hope they make it, but atlanta all of the sudden is playing like they want it. no one wants to see the hawks in the playoffs.

 

Knicks have to make up 6 games with 14 games left. Highly unlikely.

 

Yep. The Knicks are lucky to be in the lottery in the best draft if a decade. What? You say that the Knicks traded their pick? Ohhhhh noooo Mr. Bill.

Carmelo is very underrated on this board. Over half of clutchfans don't even want to trade for him lol

 

I believe that almost every metric other than points and rebounds says you are wrong. And Melo takes 5.5 more shots a game than Harden while only scoring 3.5 more points a game. Melo does out rebound Harden by 3.7 per game, but he does after all play the PF position.

Harden is the consensus the best SG in the NBA. Teams would not trade LMA, Blake, LBJ, Love, the Brow, or even Bosh for Melo.

 

Their stuck on "generalities" that ESPN makes. I have watched a lot of Knicks games these last 2 years and Melo has improved from his days in Denver on both sides of the ball and rebounding. Its just too bad that his reputation from Denver still follows him...

 

Damn haven't kept up with east standings too much but knicks aren't likely to make the playoffs? Thats sucks Melo should totally leave, he's too old for that ****, he should be contending for a ring in his prime right now. Staying with the Knicks (or lesser even bulls w/drose injured) would be a waste of very valuable time in his career.

As people have said before, Anthony really is underrated on this board. Even though he's always been known as a scorer, he's worked on his range over the past couple of years and has become a reliable 3-point shooter. With the Knicks he has started shooting the long ball more and concurrently increased his percentage as well.

Probably shouldn't be so certain then.

 

Half of Clutchfans doesn't want to trade for Carmelo because they believe that they're going to get "30 shots a game" Melo.

To think that is just simple minded & it just shows your knowledge limitations as a fan of the NBA.

Few things to dispel that theory.

1. Melo shoots near or close to that amount every other game because no one else on that team feels like showing up every game. I have never seen such an inconsistent group of players in my life, imagine 10 Jeremy Lins on a team. Granted, some have limitations due to injuries & age (Amare/Chandler), so what do you expect, Carmelo to dish it out to JR Smith when he's shooting 0-12 for like 5 straight games? No, he has a better chance at getting some points on the board by taking it on the post or a top of the key HIMSELF. In Houston or Chicago, other people will make shots, he will not have that problem anymore.

2. He wants to be the man. At one point, I do believe he had this mentality, that point was when A.I. was on the Nuggets. I think he loved A.I., I think he wanted to make it work, but they both wanted to be the number one option. That's not the case anymore, at this point in his career, a simple regular season game vs the Lebron & the Heat doesn't hold anything close to what it did before for Melo. Why is that? Because Lebron is vastly superior to Melo career wise &, why is that? Because of the silverware. Carmelo knows that. He'll take a paycut to even have the chance to win one ring, even if that means being the 3rd option. If he comes to Houston, I truly believe he will have no problem with "being the guy", his window is closing & he knows that.
