I hate Utah. With a passion. With a hatred that makes most of you guys' hate of Utah look like a petty middle school argument. So last night sucked hardcore. That said, we're still going to catch them.

I just figured out why I like this board. I don't really like the Rockets, but you guys hate Utah and I hate Utah. You guys hate Dallas and I hate Dallas. And they say hate can't unite the world.

Did ya'll play any defense last night? You don't shoot 50% from the field and lose. At least the rockets don't.

Agreed, intra-resident violence in Baltimore is a very rare event...

    :p

Most people here also hate the Spurs; don't know if you agree there also.

(BTW, I don't hate the Spurs).

I keep posting here so I can drop the knowledge on you fools. ;)

Seriously, because there are some really good posters here. You guys used to be in our division, so it was nice to read up on you. Plus, this was by far the best basketball site on the internet for a long time.

Iverson is from the Hampton Roads area, in Southeast Virginia, which is like a 3-4 hour haul and not that similar, culturally (IMO) to Baltimore.

TrueHoop is my favorite site because it deals with teams OTHER than the Rockets.

And we hate Nuggs if you leap forward in front us.

BTW, I am not sold on the Melo-AI combo. Two great one on one players, but you dont have a system. It's pretty much Melo or AI ISO, draws double team, kick out. JR Smith is going to be a major headache for you later on with all those quick shots. Right now they look great becasue they fall in, but those were bad shots.

Gonna need a link on this one. Every interview I saw with him said he wanted to win 10 of the 13 into the break.

Last night, we sucked. I'm hoping it was just a letdown from the previous night which was pretty much a playoff atmosphere game. Melo tended to revert to the old way and tried to run too many Iso's last night. That has to change. I'm not sure where everyone gets the "JR Smith is going to be a headcase" thing. It's a possibility, but I think AI will keep him in line, or stab him if he acts up. Either way, we're covered.

The Nuggets have lost 3 in a row. Looks like it will take a few games to get things together. The adrenaline rush is gone now.

I'm looking forward to February 10th against the Bobcats. How can a team that looked so bad against us earlier in the season win on the road at LA and Denver? They looked bad enough that I thought Bickerstaff had lost the team.

I give up. I still maintain Utah will collapse down the stretch, but the Nugs are going 0-40 over the rest of the season so we're not going to win the division title. It just boggles my mind how a team can look so incredible at times, and pathetic a few seconds later. There was a stretch in the third quarter where we were all over the place on defense. Steals, blocks, shot clock violations, everything. Then, 30 seconds later, we let McInnis go right down the lane untouched for a lay-up. Mind boggling.

At least Iverson's fun to watch. Gives 100% every second out there. Sadly, you can see he's getting frustrated. Too bad we don't have more players who are as dedicated and driven as AI, Najera and Evans.

It's up to your coach. Does he have the guts talking to Melo, AI and Smith, have them organized ball and defend all game long? To me right now the nuggs are simliar to the Rockets under Rudy.T

The rockets under Rudy T were still one of the top defensive teams in the league. The nuggs aren't playing any defense at all.

Believe me, George Karl has the "guts" to talk to any player. He isn't one to back down from a challenge. It's a matter of him being able to get the players on the same page and execute the program. Karl has a history of alienating players and a flareup with AI or Smith is definitely possible. If the Nuggets piddle around and lose games they should win the fireworks could be interesting. My guess is things will work out. Melo and Karl seem to have made their peace. AI knows he is under everyone's microscope and will keep his mouth shut. I'll repeat that J.R. Smith is the one I expect could be a problem.
