For all of the smack Arroyo allegedly talks, he gets burned in matchups sometimes because of his poor defense. Gary Payton last night: 27 points, 11 assists.
Toronto got rid of its cancer and a bad contract. As for Arroyo, didn't the two butt heads because of Sloan's daughter? I heard that while I was watching the Utah/Phoenix game. Maybe the commentator was making a joke...I don't know...but that would be funny.
For those who didn't see it, Arroyo buried the hatchet with Sloan and all is well in Jazz-town: http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=rotowire-arlosrroyouriesatche&prov=rotowire&type=lgns
I said it during the summer too: don't make any trades with Utah, period. Sloan is such a good coach that his players will be more productive there than they will be on our team. Trading with Utah is like buying at the top of the market. It is especially true with these hidden gems that spring up in Utah: Arroyo, Lopez, Eisley, Anderson, Vaughn, etc. These players are 12th man type players on any other team, but Sloan finds a way to maximize their production. Just stay away, otherwise we are bound to overpay.
