He should go to a team like the heat and backup Bosh.

^^This. The fans would love to have Landry back. I would love to have someone from our 08-09 season back on the team. It was the best team assembled by morey, even though we still got plagued by injuries.

Oden? Shoot, can we talk Yao into a one-year deal? Can Yao walk normally now?

i read it but i dont see why we would need landry ..one he is not that good (as evidenced by him still being a FA) two we DO have a lot of PF under guarenteed contract ..

    for sure power forwards:
    patterson
    jones

Power forwards that can also play other positions (And will prob be asked to bc there are already a lot of power forwards)

    DMO
    White

btw this is just the list of pf who have guaranteed contracts

As much as i enjoyed watching Landry, he really hasn't developed any consistency in his game. While, he may be much further along in his development than any of our current PF's, i think it's a better idea to move fwd with the young guns.

Just keep in mind that we're trying to rebuild and get a better lottery pick and build the trade value of our current players (as long as no big splash is made this season)

If we needed a vet starting PF, were likely still in the hunt for the playoffs and there wasn't a question on if he would rebound well, he would be a good pick up.

But the fact is we don't need a vet PF, are not in the hunt for the playoffs no matter what Morey, McHale or Les Alexander say and Landry while maintaining decent scoring doesn't rebound nearly as well as he once did or even Scola did. So 'No', and I wish Landry the best, he should probably go to a Eastern conference team and dominate.

A complete loss of a thread. There should be 2 or 3 posted a day. Significant posts only. This thread, like so many others is only fit for a garbage can.

Carl is a great role player but just that. Loved him when he was playing for us, would like for there to be a situation where he could play for the Rox again... i.e. we gotta get a star.

We need a couple of high character veterans to stabilize the locker room. I think that's an interesting topic worth discussing.

we would not be a lot better with Landry, and why would you release Scola to sign Landry? that would be a lateral move.

Maybe the Suns could sign Landry so ScoLandry is back together again

If we trade for Dwight or Bynum and lose a couple of our forwards, then it might be a good move as we would probably be in win now mode. If we go with all the young guys then it would make no sense.

Why isn't he signed yet? His asking price too high?

Landry is 28, NOT 30, and I would rather have him starting at PF at the beginning of the year than Patterson, at least until he proves last year was because he was hurt and not declining as a player. D-Mo will get minutes in the 4/5 rotation and most of our PF's are despensable anyway.

Landry proved he could be successful in isolation and hold down the post in the 4th quarter. With Asik being a defensive player more than offensive, and D-Mo adjusting to the NBA's power game, it wouldn't hurt to bring him in if we could trade some PF's for another C or a SG.

Plus, I'd like to wear my Landry jersey again. I'm tired of Morey trading away players right after I get there jerseys. makes me not want to buy Rockets jerseys unless I can find throwbacks.

At the right price, he would be an asset that could net us a draft pick in a trade.

Love Carl, but no. We have forwards coming out of our ears.
