I was MORE impressed with that block from the weakside on Duncan.....the Rockets have not had that kind of athleticism coming from the weakside in a LONG time. And he goes for the rebounds fearlessly....I really like him and Scola on the floor at the same time..... DD
http://youtube.com/watch?v=j68GY-FZWPU wow. just wait when he can throw it down like his college days
Landry's actually leading the league in field goal percentage for anyone that's taken 12 or more shots at 72.7%. http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...AME&qualified=N&yearsExp=-1&splitDD=All Teams He's also leading the league in rebounds per 48 minutes for anyone that has played more than 1 game at 24.3 RP48. http://www.nba.com/statistics/playe...d=N&yearsExp=-1&sortOrder=7&splitDD=All Teams It's a small sample size but this is still really impressive.
I don't think Landry style of play with his block and rebounds resembles Boozer. He is very athletic, fas, athletic and hustle. I seldom see Swift being alert in a game. He often looked lost.
I've seen Scola finish around the basket in fine fashion... I think it's a rookie thing. He gets too excited. When he's playing "within himself," you see him making easy lay-ups and damned difficult ones, as well.
Called goaltending but the replay clearly showed it wasn't. The refs thought the ball had made contact with the backboard but Landry had it blocked before it could hit the backboard (the block caused the ball to ricochet onto the backboard actually) and he definitely got it before the ball was on the path of going down.
Chuck's misses layups because he is short and can barely jump. He will always be a poor finisher around the rim. Scola has a nice touch around the basket and he is a much better finisher than Chuck.
I notice that Landry has a tendency of hanging after his "gorilla dunks". Those kind of plays can earn you a technical from a ref in a bad mood; not a good idea for a rookie.
Well please watch the video replay again. The ball was already falling when he jumped to block it out.
You are allowed to hang on the rim if there is another player beneath to protect yourself from injury.
So there's a player beneath him on every single one of his dunks? I don't remember him not hanging on the rim. Good for an energy boost, I guess.
I was hoping someone took a still pic from the vid of the dunk; the moment when the ball hit Duncan's face. Would be a perfect PWNED pic.
