He is slightly undersized for a PF. I wouldn't annoint him the ideal fit next to Yao at this point.

small sample size and not too many minutes played mind you...but i'm not saying Landry WONT ever pass Swift. 5 more games and he's equaled Swift's Rocket production ;) thats why i said "YET". yet doesnt mean next season or never

Landry was decent in the summer league. Wasnt great but didnt suck, very workman-like. He did display some outside touch and some athleticism, but Mike Harris played so great he outshined all the other frontcourt players... Plus I think Landry played a lot of center in the summer league, so he was out of position.

Landry's an actual basketball PROSPECT. Rockets don't get many of those guys who can develop into something, except for Nachbar but he didnt stick around...Landry's not ideal power forward height (6' 7" - 6' 8") but has athleticism to compensate. If he's actually working on 3 point range, he can be a very good "tweener" but in a good sense. A Al Harrington - Charlie Villenueva type but better attitude. Hell if he keeps doing what he's already doing, i'm fine with that.

He is not a VERY GOOD mid-range shooter. He is a decent mid-range shooter. Scouts were surprised that he could shoot better than they expected, but nobody has ever called him a very good mid-range shooter.

Landry will not be shooting 3s in the NBA.

Need a better vid than that. It's too dark and picture quality isn't good.

I think you're the one who's mistaken. From everything I've heard, read, and seen, Landy is a good mid-range shooter. I wouldn't say very good, but he's certainly better than decent. Hell even postgame comments from RA last night - he said not a lot of people know this but Carl has a jumper too. Bullard said the Rockets were working with Landry to extend his range out to the 3point line, which would make him "unstoppable" according to Bull.

I'd like to see Carl come in and look for his shot. He's content at looking the dump off and then finishing. I want him squaring up on the high post instead of immediately looking to pass - it'd make him an overall more dangerous threat. And more of that weak side help on defense! What a block..

Hey its ok with me - Juwan used to have game, just not now in his 30's. And he is known for being a great lockerroom guy. If you could put Juwan Howard's brain in Stromile Swift's body you might have a real player there!!! Hey maybe that's Landry!

To each his own. I'll say that Landry is a very good mid-range shooter, comparable to Boozer. I saw it last year at Purdue and some earlier this season in garbage time. I heard Bull's comments about the 3 point stuff but that is something Landry has yet to develop. I guess if Najera can, maybe he can too. It's just good to see he can be successful in the trenches at the NBA level. After watching him get blocked so much in summer league, I had my doubts.

Chuck does miss too many lay ups, what's odd though, is lately I've been seeing Scola miss a lot of lay-ups as well. I hope it isn't contagious.

I remember towards the start of the season and a lot of people were wondering if Landry was going to be the last guy cut from the team. I was pulling for him to make it.

It is great to see someone you pulled for, make good on the their potential. He's hungry. I like to see that.

I love how Landry dunks everything near the basket kinda like Stro use to do. Hopefully, Landry is not a bonehead like Stromile was.

    Landry should get more minutes.
He brings more athleticism to the team.
Make the crowd standing in their feet with his dunks.
    Brings energy.
    Take some great rebounds.
    Make some excellent dunks.
    Plays a great defense
He s young and we should develop him

    THE NEXT DWIGHT HOWARD!!! :D :D :D

Hmm, not so impressed with the dunk, as far as dunking on Duncan. I was very impressed with the rebound and the quick get up...dude really has some athleticism. But he really didn't yam on Timmy....

Yeah it was not even close to a real facial. Although, the ball did smack Timmy D in the face on the way down :D . Still a good dunk by the way.

Landry has impressive athleticism, but he needs to improve his D.
