Carl Landry assaulted, shot in the leg (out 1-2 weeks)

I dont think LAndry ran because he wanted to, he ran because he HAD to, so it's not like she didnt bother calling and that caused him to run for help. He took off because they chased him. After he took off he wouldn't have known what the woman did. He was on his own and had to get help somehow.

 

I believe it is a targeted attack. The two men shot and run after Carl Landry for a short distance. Obviously, they are not interested in Carl's car,money and female passenger. Or they would get money from the Lady still in Carl's car

Several ago, someone followed Yaoming after a game in
Houston and went into Yao's home and took picture with Yao&his mom and then posted the picture in this forum.

It is too easy to follow someone.

why the hell does he live there... damn morey and his cheap contracts forcing him to live in the ghetto?! I mean the dude had to have made at least 400k with playoff bonuses...

 

they left their car behind, even if the stole it i think it's going to eventually give police some kind of clue. The worst thing for landry would be if these guys really had beef with him and are left roaming the streets...

 

Get well Carl. I'm so glad this wasn't as worse as it could have been.

 

Again, Carl didn't do anything wrong in this situation. I would've run my a$$ out of there as well and gotten help on my own. I'm just wondering why the girl didn't call 911 to get help, and if she did, why didn't he get help until much later?

 

if some dude rammed me off the road and shot me, i'd be paranoid of everyone and everything. Hell i might just skip town if i wasn't earning 3 million dollars a year.

 

they were probably the ms-13 because Landry said they were Hispanic

 

I agree completely. I wouldn't be surprised if he wanted to leave Houston after this. Dude is a beast though. According to Brooks, he sounded "upbeat" on the phone. What kind of person sounds upbeat after being shot at? AMAZING

 

I agree with number 2, but not #1, you can't rule out a targeted attack when he's probably the wealthiest guy in the neighborhood, they didnt even try jacking his car, and they left the girl untouched.

And i dont think weknow yet who the girl is, could be a gf or could have been just a friend, or some w**** he just met , who knows, but the news reported the second time around they rear ended his SUV, and the suv moved forward until it struck a pole. since Landy was already out of the car at that time, he probably was int he middle of the street with no cover when he got shot at. Then the guys run towards him, probably didnt make sense to run towrds the girl and let the guys catch him at that point, especially if he barely knew her.

 

This is getting weirder and weirder every time I come back to this thread for updates. The more I've read, the more I'm starting to believe that he was involved with some girl that had gang ties. The thing that concerns me the most is that they CHASED AFTER HIM. One can only imagine what they were trying to do if they caught up to him. I really hope these pieces of 5hit get caught. And when they do, they need to let Ron Artest be the first one to interrogate them.

 

I dont know, MS-13 is mostly in the SW, maybe even other areas, but don't really hear much in the southeast except for wanna be ms-13 high schoolers and i dont see them pulling this.

 

This wasn't no random acts of shooting. This was clearly a targeted attack, news article reported 2 men ran and chase after Landry.

 

sorry, but it sounded like you're blaming them for not dialing 911 immediately. Landry, for obvious reasons, couldnt. The girl, we dont know much about, she could have dialed it or not. I dont get where you get they didnt get help until much later? Did it say somewhere how much time it took for police to get there? Dont base it on the time of the incident, because i've read anything from 2:00 am to 4:30am, i think the times of the incident and the time the police arrived/responded are all over the place right now, nothing completely official.

 

I agree. Also, I think Landry needs a bodyguard.

 

The last I heard, the incident occurred around 2.30a, but the police weren't notified until around 4a.

 

If the girl had called at all, I'm thinking he should've gotten help before 4a.

 

I don't think the fact that the suspects chased him meant that Carl was specifically targeted by them. They shot at him and didn't accomplished their aim at first so chased after him just to finish what they started.
