    I wonder if Carl needs an entourage or posse like AI has. If he's rolling with several scary dudes, I've got to think that this doesn't happen. Instead, he's goofy and innocent Carl. Throw some glasses and suspenders on him, and you've got a 6'9" Steve Urkel.

    Dude gets his front teeth knocked out and he smiles like someones tickling him. He gets shot and leaves like nothing even happened. Bad ass!

    I'm not faulting Carl in any way. My question is why couldn't the girl save him all that trouble by calling 911. And if she did, they sure as heck didn't come fast enough.

    This team is really cursed. This could've been a lot worse though. I'm glad he's okay. Nothing you can really do when it comes to indiscriminant violence, but we all should at all times exercise caution and try and minimize the chances that something random like this can happen by using our best judgement. Hopefully, he comes back sooner rather than later. From getting his tooth knocked out in the playoffs last year to this, Landry is definitely one of my favorite Rockets' players.

    is it possible that Carl was bangin the ex or current girlfriend of a gangster? Was the girl he was with latina? :eek: I don't think it was a random incident. Carl should to move to another neighborhood asap, those guys must have followed him, the timing is too suspicious.

    Don't forget that people from NO still live here due to hurricane katrina so some of them didn't go back yet. Maybe they were watching the game here and got pissed about landry getting crazy rebounds. Thats my prediction.

    I really hope landry is ok and get better soon.

    I am sad and pissed at the same time that I woke up to this news about landry being shot.

    Wow, this is crazy. I just saw the news on ESPN, and it said that he would probably be out from 2-4 weeks. Hope he has a speedy recovery. Well, now Mutombo and Hayes can have some playing time, get them ready for the playoff run.
