Damn, I bet that first guy who didn't let him in feels like an ass now. I'm pretty sure if someone was yelling bloody murder at 430 at my front door and I couldn't tell who it was though, I probably wouldn't have let them in, either. Pretty insane story though, jumping over a 6 foot fence after being shot in the leg....MANDRY!

It also said that he dislocated his finger during all of this. Damn, he had a rough night.

Wow. Glad he's ok. My friend told me this morning but I couldn't verify until just now.

I think you guys are taking what "nightWatch" said the wrong way...

I can understand him being AMP'D after the game, but being out late at 4 am in any part of town no matter if it's Houston, Dallas, LA, Detroit or where ever; you are basically playing Russian Roulet...

Crime can happen any where at anytime, but your best bet is to try to reduce it as much as possible, so being out that late; you've basically increased your odds of something stupid, dumb, accidental or whatever to happen.

There's 2 advice that were given to me and to this day I try to live by them...

    1) Nothing good ever happens after 12 am.
    2) The best way to stay out of trouble is not to go near it.

This is obviously a ploy by the Jazz, though they may have contracted it out to the Jailblazers.

As a diehard Washington Redskins fan and having gone through the death of Sean Taylor due to a gunshot to the leg, everybody here is required to be glad that 1-3 weeks is all that Landry will miss.

It could've been worse. It should've been worse. Just be happy.

I saw Landry (& Deke) at Pravada Saturday night. I told him good luck on the season

I'm glad to hear that it wasn't as serious as it could have been.

Nope, just look at the Virginia Tech for example. Any crazy person can have the right to buy a gun and shoot someone at any given moment. That's what makes it dangerous. If guns were ban in the U.S. small gang will have much trouble to purchase gun from store. While big gang will have to be extra cautious to smuggle guns.

In another word safer for the police. Whoever that have guns , you can arrest them.

Also if they are able to get guns , they probably won't be robbing small fries anyways. They be looking to rob a bank instead.

I have seen people shot in the leg and afterwards they are walking with a limp for the rest of their life which means they can't run anymore. (I'm a radiologic tech in a hospital). It could have ended his career. very lucky for him and Rockets.

Hope they catch the punks that did this. That's attempted murder in my book. Glad he is relatively OK, it could have been much worse. Now you understand why so many athletes feel the need to pack guns.

Do you have anything to base a conclusion on Landry making a habit of being out at 4 am? If not then your rambling is pointless....

I'm just glad that he survived. There is definitely someone looking out for him. He should definitely move out of Downtown Houston. He should be living in a safer neighborhood, like Sugar Land.

Dude, I would say half of the single folks under 30 that live in Houston are out past 12 am at least once every other week if they don't have to work the next day or go to class. Being out late for a single man in his 20's is well...kinda normal.

According to sports center, sounds random to me, a typical road rage.
And again, god bless, average Yanks can't aim for ****...
