It was bascially a jack move to get his loot and/or steal his car. They bump you slightly and you get out your car and the jack move happens. My questions, is what are you doing downtown at 4:20am trying to get some food? If he lives Downtown then I understand.

well...i actually used to live in this area. there are a lot of nice townhomes and new developmental lofts in this area. the only negative, the surrounding area is scary as ****

 

Landry and the rest of the Rockets had just returned from New Orleans after their 95-84 victory over the Hornets. The team's charter flight landed at Hobby Airport shortly after midnight, according to a team spokesman.

According to police, Landry was driving when another vehicle bumped his car. He got out to inspect the damage and two shots were fired from the other vehicle as it slowly passed him, team officials said.

The second shot struck Landry.

Descriptions of the vehicle and its occupants were not yet available this morning. Police have not determined whether the vehicle may have bumped Landry's car in an effort to rob him.

The whole story just seems weird, though. They couldn't have been trying to steel from him or they would have. I guess it's just some stupid gang initiation.

Houston has been Crime City, USA for the past 3 or 4 years, and things got significantly worse after the NOLA 'migration' to Houston. From what I understand, at least a few hundred thousand NOLA residents have taken up permanent residence in Houston.

But yeah, Houston is becoming increasingly worse in the same vein as LA or some of the other major towns.

 

The gun man is not a rockets fan or does not follow the NBA much, otherwise, he should know Carl, and stopped doing this thing.
