    Venezuela is so damn dangerous now. It's a real shame, because it's such a beautiful and amazing country. Hope he recovers fully, and soon.

    What went down: An argument during practice erupted into a fight in the Seattle locker room when Payton chucked a VCR remote control at “Mad Max,” who responded by hurling…a five-pound dumbbell.
    What makes it special: Two players were injured and missed time—neither of them named Payton or Maxwell.

    No it was Maxwell, the Payton thing was another thing. 99ers remember Clutch City more than they remember themselves

    In 1995, Maxwell was sentenced to 90 days in jail for a mar1juana possession charge. There also was a report of a fight with teammate Carl Herrera in which Maxwell hit Herrera with a dumbbell and went out to the car to get his gun. The Rockets won another title in 1995, but Maxwell had clearly worn out his welcome.
