All fashion is cyclical. They will eventually wane in popularity.

They're functional and versatile, therefore they should stay. Not many shorts options for guys anyways, might as well stay with the style thats useful

I used to love cargo shorts when I was in fifth grade. They caught my eye when I got tired of wearing my denim overall shorts with one strap undone at the skating rink with a Yaga shirt on underneath.

After my first pubic hair, I started thinking. Why do I need all of these pockets? I only need two pockets: one for my keys/cell phone and one for my wallet.

I looked down at the side of my pants. There were 19 pocket and not one of them had anything in them. The extra fabric could have been used to clothe poor people around the world. It also had a hammer loop. I don't even own a hammer, and if I did I would probably put it into a toolbox instead of a loop in my britches.

I have been a four pocket man since that day.

From what I see on the street, they're on the wane right now. Guys are favoring the plaid shorts.

    That makes me sad.

I will have to stock up on cargo shorts if they're going to go out of fashion. Of course, I really don't care what others think of the way I dress, so I'm not a slave to that.

I love cargo shorts. For me, they started with the cargo-style fishing shorts, that can be waded in. Even my golf shorts are the stealth cargo style, with cargo pockets with hidden zippers.

I shall never respect a man who doesn't own a hammer.
