    WWW, naturally.

Of course, that will depend on whether Edmonds hits 1.000 with 5 hr's or if we can hold him to a paltry .500 for the weekend.

This game stinks. Carpenter's pitching well, but nowhere near his stat line. His fastball just doesn't have that much movement, and has been well placed, but not extremely so - I'm surprised nobody's hit it hard yet.

Berkman with a HUGE clutch hit to plate Kent. TIE GAME.

Too bad we couldn't get that runner home from 3rd with only 1 out. *sigh*

Hopefully well get them in extra innings.

At least Roger won't get the loss. The streak remains intact!

    Berkman is the ****ing man!
Jesus that guy just flat out contributes. Definitely one of my favorite Astros.

It seems as if most of the Astros (all time and new) are the hard working no nonsense everyday contributers (Cruz, Wynn, Biggio, Bagwell, Reynolds, Oswalt, Clemens, Berkman) Is this because the Stros have had a knack for finding this type of player or are these players products of a great Astros system (as in great development and coaches)??

And we now have battle of the un-clutch closers on our hands.

Lance Berkman and Roger Clemens are both Wayne Graham products. Berkman at Rice, Clemens at San Jac. They've stepped up huge tonight.

Too bad the ump decided to call that balk on Dotel to ruin the night. STOOPID

If I'm not mistaken, this makes the Astros 0-4 in extra inning games.

Cubs lose both games of the double-header today against Pittsburgh in dramatic fashion.

Borowski gives up 5 runs in the bottom of the 9th in the first game to blow his first save of the year despite his gaudy ERA.

In Game 2, LaTroy Hawkins (the favorite to replace Borowski as Chicago's closer) gives up two runs in the bottom of the 9 to allow Pittsburgh to tie the game. Pittsburgh won the game in the 10th on a deep HR to straight-away center field by Craig Wilson.

Doesn't get much better than that.

Once again Dotel's inability to throw consistent strikes costs the Astros a game.

    Walks KILL....

That was very nice. Despite his bad game today Hawkins is pretty solid. I have no idea why they didnt go with him as their closer to start the season as it seems he has much better stuff than Borowski.

Who whould have guessed that Graves and Kolb whould be the most productive closers in the central this far into the season? As shaky as you guys think Dotel has been Izzy has been much worse.

WTF?! We lost due to a Dotel Balk?!!!! That's how they got the winning run?! What's up with that?! What a horrible way to lose....

EDIT: Atleast the Cubs lost 2 yesterday. That made me feel good.

The Reds won though...I don't like being in 2nd place....I want them to run away with it.

As Dotel finds new and whacky ways to lose games, I wonder how long he will last.
