... but they have beaten him the last three times. (albeit, they were all close games).

hmm I say W L W , two sweeps of the red-birds unlikely even if we are playing well

plus redding should stink it up yet again, although I hope he can prove otherwise.

even though it doesn't help us, for the sake of my fantasy team i love that reggie sanders seems to do well against us and will play us a lot. all those steals last time and now a homer.

    Miller allows another HR.

    2 HR off Miller.

    3-1 Birds.

Ouch Miller left a hanger right in Pujols wheelhouse. Had a very favorable 1-2 count on him as well. Looked like he was trying to go up and in with the fastball but it just stayed up and the IN the middle. :p

Ugh.... with 2 outs and 2 strikes on Pujols, and 1st base open, that pitch should NOT have been anywhere close to the plate... especially not inside.

That's two games at home now that Astros pitchers have let the other team's best player beat them when they probably should have pitched around him.

Pujols had hit the ball pretty hard the first two times up as well... so it wasn't like Wade was dominating him. He has, however been dominating Edmonds and Rolen thus far.

It was actually in a lil and up around his shoulders.

Really not a horrible pitch, Pujols just went and got it. We held him down in St. Louis, so he was bound to do something to beat us this series.

I had a bad feeling from the 2nd inning on when we couldnt jump on Suppan.

Those puss throwers always give us fits.

That's my point exactly, though.... when you have a base open, and their best player has hit the ball HARD the first two times up... and the two guys after that have barely made contact tonight, why take your chances with Pujols?

The fact that he had already gotten 2 strikes on him was probably fools gold... but you NEVER let the other team's best player beat you if you can avoid it.

That was BS! That 7th inning was really annoying to watch. Backe walking their catcher, then those two crap hits were frustrating. Without that BS, we tie the game up 3-3, then who knows what happens. Also kind of annoying that Backe and Gallo couldn't get us out of it because those runs went to Wade who is on my fantasy team haha, but seriously I think he pitched a lot better than 5ER over 6 - wierd how that worked out...

was anybody at the game? I managed to get suite tixs from work and there was a streaker that came out during the 7th inning stretch, everybody had a ball, just a moment to remember.

    Blurb from chron.com

    Streak ends

While most of the 29,625 fans at Minute Maid Park were taking their seventh-inning stretch, one man decided to do much more than stretch out his legs.

A fan jumped onto the field in the middle of the inning, took off all of his clothes and ran around in the outfield before being tackled by a security guard. He was covered in a towel and carried off the field without interrupting the game.

    That's funny.

Tough loss, but this just means that Redding will get the win tomorrow night!

    Go Stros!

So do you think if the Cardinals had not scored those 2 runs in the 7th, everything would have happened exactly the same afterwards?

Have we, as baseball fans, learned nothing from "Back to the Future"?
