My uncle installs the whole ordeal and will even make you a custom deck for your iPod, MP3 player, DVD player, casette/CD deck, etc., and it will fit your car. He even does the poxy sh*t that most installers won't.

There's a model out there that my uncle installed for a buddy that has an iPod changer right on the stereo with remote control, meaning you can change it from your CD player without even looking at you iPod.

I think he gets distributor prices, so you'll end up paying what you would for the equipment, but he would get the installation price (cheap), and will do a better job than 'em Worst Buy and Tweetie boys.

Jeff, would you like to know more?

    Hey guys

In about a year, I intend to upgrade my car stereo as well. When that time comes, I, too, will contact the shops and people listed here if that's okay with you guys.

Thanks for the Houston recommendations, but does anyone know of a good place to purchase a system and have it installed in the Austin area?

I completely forgot about CJ Sounds. Shawn hooked me up nicely with a new alarm and new door lock actuators.

I also need a new head unit. I'll be going back to see Shawn before long.

I have a 2001 330ci without HK package. I need to replace the rear deck speakers. Do you have any recommendations? I wanted a bit more bass if possible. I'm guessing i might need to get a replacement amp or an additional amp for the rear speakers. I listen to mostly eletronic music so not sure which speakers would best fit that type of music.

Well give me tell tomm. I'll get on my computer program & check out which speaker size's you have back there.

For the best mid-bass it's allways 6x9" Speakers but i know in BMW's its more likley the sub thats built in the rear dash.

I'll give you a reply back in this thread tomm.
