If I was in that position my choices would be: 1) the new miata 2) Subaru brz/ Toyota FRS 3) used rx8 or 370z. Maybe g37 Not luxury cars technically, but good sports cars with some tech
That's a sedan in the image. If the OP doesn't mind having a car that won't "stand out from the crowd," the 2016 Accord with the 6 cylinder engine and a real transmission, automatic or stick, (god, I hate CVT's!) at the EX-L or Touring level is one hell of a nice car.
If you don't plan on buying again until you are in your 30s, then you can buy used. If you lease, it would be a couple of leases before you hit your 30's car buying phase. For used, a 2010 or 2011 MB E350 sedan is in your price range. I owned a 2010 and it's a great car. I had no major issues with it. My father now drives it, and it's been fine. I can only assume other cars in this class are around the same price. BMW 535, Lexus GS, etc. New...seems like it's really tough to get a car for 25K these days. What about that Scion FR-S or whatever, aren't those mid-20s?
From what I understand, there will a hatchback version of the civic coming in summer of 2016....already have them in the UK I believe. I was thinking of getting a Mazda 3 hatchback, but now considering whether I should just wait for the new Civics.
Another nice Honda, but I can't get past the way they designed the rear/rear windows. I have a problem with split glass rear windows. Don't like the rear of a Prius, either. Putting that aside, it drives and handles very well. I test drove a lot of possibilities when my significant other was looking for a new ride. She settled on a Subaru Forester (she's Dutch - hates to spend more money than she has to). Great gas mileage, a nice size (we are sans kids now, thank god, and were downsizing from a Honda Odyssey), comfortable, but it has that ****ing CVT transmission. I hate it. Also not impressed with the pickup or the nav system, which well and truly sucks, but she loves it.
The 2016 Civic looks nice to me and will probably give you the best bang for your buck. If you don't need a bigger vehicle, that looks like a great choice. Motor Week seemed to really like it. They always tend to skew positive, but still I appreciate their reviews. I'm sure you can find the episode on YouTube. http://www.motorweek.org/reviews/road_tests/2016-honda-civic
dont get a civic, its too small, get an accord at the minimum. You'll regret the civic in a year or two when all your friends are driving bmw/merc/audi if they arnt already. Atleast the accord is a nice big car...
A civic lol? .......... Let me give you some real advice here.... Buy whatever the hell you like. If I say Nissan you might say Honda... if I say BMW some ahole will walk in here and say Mercedes.... At the end of the day no matter what any of us think or say you will buy whatever you like or want.... Nobody would have guessed you were in the market for a civic when you made this thread so I can tell you right now everyone's opinions are pointless....
