Hell of a choice, my friend. For a car that is geared to such a wide group of people, the Accord is ridiculously fun to drive.
I know, I'm pissed off that she took it to work this morning! I'm really excited about our road trip we're taking next weekend to Kansas and Missouri. That thing's gonna be a lot of fun on the open road! Oh, and Deckard...
good job RM.. even tho I have never owned a import...I have driven a few that family has...and they(especially Hondas) are nice, and well built. I must say tho...100+ isnt as big of a deal as it used to be...I got 236k+ out of my old Gran Prix.. and I hope the SS does similar.. btw...is this the same girl you were with last time I saw you at BWs? She seemed nice..
It really is a great car. Good styling, great interior...did you guys opt for the V6? I've never driven the four cylinder, but my 6 packed quite a punch, that is, until it was totalled last week. Forget the car for a moment though, congrats on your upcoming proposal/potential engagement!!!
Nope, it was the four cylinder. I really haven't had a chance to drive in on the freeway yet as I'm letting RM95's Girl enjoy it. I-35 will be fun next weekend though! Thanks on the congrats! I'm really excited about it!! I'm thinking BBS Bachelor Party in Vegas!!
RM95, you did the right thing as far as buying a car. I wasn't trying to sound like I was talking down to you, but I just wanted you and your girl to avoid being buried under an avalanche of debt. At least you got a car you can put 250k on easy.
Off to look at a Nissan Xterra... 6cy/4wd. Any thoughts? (Keep in mind I have two young kids who are rough on car interiors, we live at 7200 feet where it snows, we do family car-camping trips, and the Xterra XE price is right.) For those of you who are debt hawks, we haven't had a car payment since 1997 and will only be financing in the 12-15k range.
Since they are redesigning the Pathfinder in 05, you should be able to get an 04 Pathfinder for a substantial discount. My Dad had one before he traded it in (a 2001) on an Armada and he loved it. It has 240 hp plus 265 lb feet of torque, good ground clearance, part-time AWD and it comes standard in the cloth interior with a 6 disc changer and a great stereo. As for the Xterra, the 210 hp supercharged six starts at 26 grand. The other inline 6 has only 180 hp and 205 lb feet of torque. My cousin has an Xterra and he's selling his to buy a Pathfinder, because the Xterra is too cramped. So I'd look at the Pathfinder first. It may base for more, but at the base level, you could get a lot more space, hp, torque, features and comfort than you could in a loaded Xterra.
good deal! Congrats on finding a keeper...you have my best wishes that she feels the same...and yall have a long and happy life.
not tomorrow..but Ill be there for the 'Behad B-Ball Classic' cause Im not afraid to drive to League City
