So i am driving back to houston from austin and my battery light comes on. i make it back to my friends house in austin just as everything dies. i assume this is my alternator. i go ahead and replace my battery anyway and its still draining so i remove the alternator and bring it to a shop to get a new one even though my alternator looks fine to me. they test it and it s fine so i get some cleaner and clean the heck out of the connectors and replace the alternator. IT IS STILL DRAINING MY BATTERY!!!! please if anyone know what this could be help! the car is a 1999 lexus rx300. thank you

In my entire life of owning cars, it is always either the battery or the alternator.

Check all your contacts. Your terminals may be dirty...not where the terminal connects to the battery, but where the wire connects to the terminal.
