I kinda figured a new body style and the year 2012 would change things. At least I get nice loaners 4 times a year, plus free coffee and wi-fi at Momentum. :/
Its time for a BMW..... I hear you can get %15 off msrp by driving all the way to Canada..... Its like a free vacation.....
Happened to me before and this worked. Hold down the button to roll it up while slamming your door shut.
You can go to any mechanic. I highly recommend north side domestics. They saved me a couple of thousands from the dealership.
That is why I drive a benz. Though my command & control center just randomly turned off one day and I had to turn the car off and on and it worked fine. LOL. Took it to the dealership and it needed an "update". My car is a ****in 2013, what update could it possibly need. Seems like all these new foreign cars break. My father in law has two BMW's and they break all the time. He had 1,000 miles on his '14 5 series and the alternator went out. Then he had to get some drive terrain issues fixed.
My wife drives a 2012 Benz, too. Due to the ****ty streets in the inner loop, construction, etc. she's had 5 flats this year alone on her low profile tires and her batteries keep going dead and they can't find the cause. When my warranty runs out I have no idea what I'll be looking at. Most likely not another British car.
Lexus is the answer. Highest customer satisfaction. Highest resell value. Kinda boring design though.
2004 F150 XLT v8 5.4L Fixed it. Bought a new regulator / motor. Took apart the door and replaced the unit. $120 for the parts. And it works! This coming from a guy who knows nothing about cars / trucks. Rep to the guys with the key info. The problem was one of the brackets that holds onto the cables cracked and broke. And the other bracket was cracked. Might look online for replacement brackets, but for now I installed the new unit and will just keep that in it.
lol. You act like BMW and Mercedes have been beacons of reliability in the past or something. Those "updates" are probably software updates, and they're somewhat common. And, I think a lot of manufacturers are having issues nowadays with reliability, but some of it has to do with the fact they probably know people will overlook the issues and keep buying them. You just hope you don't get the vehicle that's always in the shop. Land Rover, Jaguar, etc. cost a lot of money, but suck in terms of reliability (at least in the recent past).
This is probably one of the few manufacturers that has kept their reliability ratings near the top. But, their designs now aren't "boring" ... if anything they're over-the-top. I'm not a huge fan of their design language, but have grown to like them more.
I think you meant drive train? Usually that's a component of the engine/transmission. I think Benz is made by Germans? I think one of the few people here who actually follow cars as closely as I do is probably Dr of Dunk. Btw, Lexus sales have went up considerably after they introduced the spindle grill. Overall I think it looks great. Not a fan of their F-Sports as I think it's too aggressive and the new IS250 handles great, love the interior, but the outdated drive train and exterior styling (nike swooshes under the head lights??) kills it for me. Rumors are they're releasing a IS200T with the turbo engine from the upcoming NX this fall.
