Most new cars (even bad ones) does start to break down until after six or seven years. The good ones are the ones that do not break down even after fifteen years. For people who changes their car every few years, just about any car would do, for me I like to really get my money's worth out of my car, two Camrys (97 and 06) here and not a single problem so far.
Ditto. People who keep their cars beyond 5-6 years/100k miles should probably look into more reliable vehicles. However, for someone like my sister-in-law who's a pharmacist and in all likelihood won't top 60-70k before selling/trading in the car for a new one it doesn't make much difference. It's only those long-termers that need to concern themselves with that stuff. Otherwise, you are more concerned about getting a car that you actually like instead of sacrificing what you want for more reliability. LMAO!
If she's gonna trade it in every 3 or 4 years, have her do a lease. I just leased the 2007 Nissan Altima. I've only had it a week, but I couldn't be happier. It's a pretty sweet ride.
