I am looking to buy subs and a decent amp for my mid-sized SUV. I don't want to make the housing for the subs, so I will buy a pre-built sub system (enclosed, ported). And only want to hook the subs to the amp, so I am looking for a mono amp. My music is 50% rock, 30% electro and 20% rap. Does anyone have any recommendations on what combination of housing (enclosed, ported), subs (8", 10", 12") and amp would be best for that particular mix? My car has the power, RCA and remote cable hooked up - courtesy of the previous owner. The fuse is busted but I probably need a new one based on whatever amp I get. Other than that, it just needs the ground wire redone (to prevent buzzing) and I'd be good to go.
